magical express question

So with only 2 days left until we leave for disney.... I'm going through stuff and realized that I don't completely understand something about the magical express. I get the gist of it and have done it in the past, but my question is about the luggage tags that are sent to you. Do you write your home address or the resort that you're staying at?

If you are asking about the yellow ME tags you don't write anything on them. They have the resort name on them.

If you DON'T mean the yellow luggage tags, but rather the souvenir tag/s that came with your package reservation information - you probably just want to write your name and cell phone (or hotel's, or trusted friend at home's) number on those tags. Oh, and put the same information INSIDE each checked suitcase as well.

I'm a cynic. It's NEVER a good idea to put one's home address outside luggage when traveling.

Ok now I am confused! I don't have any tags that are yellow. I have a little pamphlet that came a while ago that says on it "Disney's Magical Express". Inside is info and transportation vouchers for each of us but that is it. The other luggage tags I received were ones that came at the back of the other disney pamphlet that I received with hotel and flight info. Those luggage tags say name, address, city, ph # etc.....So am I missing something?

Yes. Stapled into the center of your Magical Express booklet should be a page of yellow "strip" tags - like the ones the airport workers would put on your luggage, but easily identifiable to Disney CMs as DME tags.

DON'T PANIC!!!!! Check your luggage when you get to the airport. When you arrive in Orlando, proceed DIRECTLY to the Welcome Center. Explain that you didn't get tags to attach to your luggage. Give the CM your luggage claim checks. They will note the numbers and give them back to you, and ask for a description of your checked luggage. They will then send other CMs to luggage claim to, well, claim your luggage and send it to the DME sorting-and-shipping center.

With 2 days left you'll never get them mailed to you in time. We didn't get them one year either and just did as was suggested and gave baggage claim ticket to the DME people. Hopefully there won't be a huge line at DME check in. If you had your yellow tags you typically bypass the line and head straight to the red carper loading area after getting checked in at the kiosk.
