TinkerBelle_325....I'm assuming you are talking about the above posts as 'flames and judgemental'? I think they are really relatively polite. I know that one poster has already apologized for upsetting you.
Because there were some that gave you more info than you actually asked for, you have taken offense. I don't think anyone meant you to be offended. No one was flaming you or being judgemental...they were just trying to give you honest 'opinions'. Again, I'm sorry if you are offended by those posts. They were not meant to be offensive. And when something is posted that is incorrect, you have to expect it to be corrected...as in the luggage delivery to the wrong room...that was an incorrect assumption on your part. I have tried to put the correct info out there as politely as I can.
I see you quoted me.
I feel that I have to point out that my post was not "flames and judgmental" nor was it even an "opinion".
It was a fact of life. Rightly or wrongly, posting on a message board leaves you open to unsolicited opinions and judgments - you don't get to tell people how to respond. If you are going to be bothered by this fact, you need to avoid message boards and ask your questions at the source.
NB - I'm using "you" in the global sense AND this applies to all message boards, not just the Transportation board (or even just to DIS).
As to just "answering the question". There is a current thread where someone was disappointed because the cost of their flight went down and, had they just waited, they'd have paid less. Someone mentioned a few airlines that would have given the OP credit for the difference. It turns out that the OP was flying on one of these airlines (and presumably now has a credit). If everyone had just stuck to "yes, it stinks. I'm sorry for you", the OP would never have known that she could call for a credit.
