Our arrival flights just got bumped up by an hour and we are now landing at 10:30. I was thinking it might be nice to start off the vacation by going to lunch before we check in while the kids are still ina good mood. Is it possible to take the ME to a resort other than your own and then use Disney Transportation to get back to your home resort to check in. This would end up being an extra meal so we wouldn't need a KTTW card. I don't want to make ADRs until I figure all of this out.

I'm going to guess no because the ME paperwork you get has your resort on it, and that's what you use to check in at the ME desk at the airport.

I really can't see how it would matter. There are no bus assignments from the airport. After you check in, you walk over to the bus lines and get in the one you want.

I'd suggest calling the magic express phone number and asking. I don't know it, but have seen it posted on the transportation brd.

The ME busses are supposed to take you to the resort you are staying at. I believe that they check your voucher before you get on the bus.

They do not make exceptions.

You are entitled to a ride from the airport to YOUR resort, and then a ride from YOUR resort back to the airport.

It would be a logistical nightmare for them to figure in where people want to go instead of where they need to go. DME is tied into resort reservations, both functionally as well as in the computer database.

I know this isn't the answer you want to hear :goodvibes , and I know it's not convenient for you, but it's the best way for them to run an efficient and FREE system.

If you really need to get to another destination from the airport instead of your resort, then you have the option of paying for private transportation.

The bus driver checked our ME tickets before we got on the bus, as well as the people at the desk.

Taxi's within the WDW resort are not that expensive ($15 is average). Take ME to your resort, check in and then take a taxi to the other resort for lunch.

I think we are gonna skip it all together. If it was no big deal to get on a different bus, we'd do a nice lunch, but I know better than to push my 3 year old and 1 year old another 45 minutes. People at Chef Mickey's might be offering cab fare before we even sat down! :lmao:
