Okay, so we made our reservations tonight for next September. Our issue that that our oldest son, who is on the reservation for the whole time, is planning on flying down a few days after we do so he does not miss too much school. Is he able to use ME when he arrives or does he have to use another means of transportation to get to POP? The CM tonight said that he would not be able to use ME, because he would need to use it on our arrival date. Someone, please help me?? If he cannot use ME, I guess I will have DH meet him at the airport via Mears and they can take Mears back.

Thank you....Trish

The CM is wrong, your son can use DME.

If you have any specific DME questions, you're well-advised to call DME directly at 866-599-0951. The Central Reservations CMs are experts at resort reservations, park tickets and dining, but they are far from experts in the intricasies of DME.

You are entitled to a ride from MCO to your resort on your arrival day or later, and you are entitled to a ride from your resort to MCO on your check-out date or earlier. And not everyone in the party needs to travel together.

Call DME. They won't have actual access to your reservation until 60 days prior to your trip, but they can answer all your DME questions.

That sounds rather silly. Call back and ask to speak to a supervisor. I dont know the ins and outs of the res part of it, as I don't work for DIS. but that seems abit out there and I cant believe there is not an easy way to resolve this.

Why would it matter when a member of your party arrives? He is still apart of you res and staying at a Disney resort.

That is the question I would ask.

As a driver, I've overheard many guests talking about other loved ones arriving at different times, CALL a supervisor and get to the bottom of it.

There really isn't any reason to even call back. As long as your ds is on the room reservation, he will be able to get to the resort via DME. When you get to the DME checkin desk, upon your arrival at MCO, just double check and make a note that he is arriving in a few days. We have done this several times...DME does not care when people arrive, or depart. As was already said....everyone who is staying at a WDW owned resort, is entitled to a ride to and from MCO and their resort.
