Magical Express question - 17yo traveling alone

We are going down on Thursday (me, dd15 and dd17) and staying 3 nights at CBR, and then DD17 is flying alone on sunday and meeting us and we are switching and checking into the POLY :banana: for 4 nights. They have her as separately coming on Sunday and said they are sending a DME package for her (which we did not receive yet).

We can use the CBR dme package for the bus on thursday, and she can use the one for the POLY on sunday if it does not arrive, so I am not worried about that. My concern is that she is traveling herself. Are they going to ask her for ID when she shows the DME paperwork at the airport? Do they generally ask for ID when we check in at the DME desk? Or do you just show the barcode from the DME packet?

Thanks

A 17 year old is fine alone on DME. She should not be asked for ID beyond the DME voucher.

Call DME directly...just to be sure they have your dd in their system. There have been many cases where a guest called Disney about DME and reservations and been told 'oh, you're good to go', only to find, when calling DME, they they were never added to the system.
It's worth the call. Then, you dd can just go to the checkin counter, get a voucher printed up and head to the bus line. They will ask for ID at the checkin counter if she has to have a voucher printed up..but her age shouldn't be an issue.

The only time you need to show any ID, when using DME, is if you have no preprinted voucher in hand. You will have to show ID in order to prove you are who you are on the reservation.

Thanks! That eases my mind a bit. We have 2 sets of DME vouchers. One for the checkin on Thursday for 3 of us for CBR, and then one for the checkin on Sunday for 4 of us for the POLY. I will just take the cbr set with me and leave the poly set for her, and her voucher is in there...do we just take the voucher in the DME packet to the bus or do we have to stand on a line first to check in? I haven't done dme since 2008 and I forgot.

Thanks

If you have your vouchers they'll just direct you to a line for the bus that goes to your resort. When you're able to board, you'll hand over the voucher and get on.

When calling DME (or for that matter, anyone for reserving or booking or confirming or ordering or buying anything anytime) get and write down the name and city of the person you are talking to. Written confirmation in addition would be even better but DME normally does not issue that other than the DME packet and yellow tags.

If you got two sets of vouchers due to a split stay, use the vouchers for the resort you are going to. If you only have the wrong set, you will need to go to the welcoming counter to have them reprinted.

The vouchers in your packet go with you. The past few times I've used DME, I've had my vouchers out and ready. When I got to the line entrance, for DME welcome and checkin, the CM said..'Are those all correct?', I answered yes, and she pointed me over to the bus area. There, the bus CM scanned the vouchers, asked about our baggage, and then directed us to the appropriate bus line. When getting on the bus, the driver again scanned the voucher.

Thanks :thumbsup2

I think your question was would ME ask for ID for the 17yr old? Is that right?
Won't the 17 yr old have an ID if they are flying alone. So they should already have it and will be prepared should they ask for ID. So they would be okay either way if they asked for ID or not.:confused3
