I can't do this poll. I've ridden on ME many times. I have only ONE horror story, 2.5 hours to get to POR. If one is too many for you, then that's your choice.

But as long as it's free and my flight isn't coming in too late, I'm using it.

We loved our ME experience. It was about an hour from the time our flight landed to get POP with one stop at CBR first. Leaving it was there on time and we filled it at POP so we didn't have to stop anywhere else. We sat for about an hour before our flight left. Our luggage arrived about 3 hours after we checked in. I didn't have a problem with the drop off points on level 1 and found MCO a very easy airport to get around in. Hey it's free and worth much more than that.

I give a :thumbsup2 to ME. Last February, on President's Day, we arrived at MCO expecting a long line for ME. Well, we were the only ones on line!! Hopped right on the bus, waited maybe 10 minutes (5 other people boarded during that time) and we were off to Disney. Comfortable bus, great driver and waaaay better than our past rides from the airport (rental car, taxi, towncar).

On our return trip we were scheduled for a 3:30am pick-up from CBR and I was a bit nervous, but ME was there right on time!

We packed a beach bag with bathing suits etc and were ready to hop in the pool when we arrived at the hotel. No need for luggage at that point. We read the ME tickets and planned accordingly. People need to read the ME info and know what they can and can't expect from the service.

We've used DME seven times (including May '05 right after it started) and love it. Maybe we've been lucky but several times we've been able to walk straight on the bus as soon as we check in at the DME desk. As soon as we enter the queu the CM is waving for us to hurry as the bus is there. The longest wait we've ever had at the airport was like 10-12 minutes before loading the bus.

As far as departure we've had two buses show up a few minutes early (about 15 minutes), one that left about 20 minutes after our scheduled departure time, and the rest left right on time. We've never even came close to missing a flight.

What we have seen are people arriving after their assigned times upset because they missed their bus and then demanding to be put on the next one, even wanting the people assigned to that bus bumped. Sept '06 we were in DTD waitng for the resort bus to take us back to catch our DME bus. We made sure to leave DTD early, planning to have a snack back at our resort. My mom was in a scooter, so was waiting out front so the driver could see her, when a family (with two scooters) came flying up. When they saw my mom they were really upset saying they were going to miss their DME bus if they had to wait for a second bus (in order to get two scooters on). Apparently the mom and GM wouldn't get out of the Disney Store and made them late. We let them get on the bus ahead of us. Another bus came just a few minutes later and when we arrived at the resort we saw the dad yelling at the CM in front that they absolutely had to get on that DME bus and he didn't care if they'd missed their assigned bus, they still had to get on this one or they'd miss their flight. They were finally allowed to get on that bus, but then made everyone wait until the elder son and GF had returned from delivering the rented ECVs to luggage services. From what a few people said after they finally left, this family was over 45 minutes late for their pick up time.

Ok, I didn't vote in the poll because I am not sure which category I fall into. This is not a "horror story" just my personal experience, which I think the OP was looking for. For those of you who already read my report about POP on the Resort board, just ignore.

We arrived at MCO at 10:30am. We proceeded to the correct area for DME, waited about 10 minutes or so and got on the bus. Great experience thus far. I was very happy to not have to get my luggage.

We got to the resort, checked in and went to the parks. When we got back at 7:30pm, we only had one of our three checked bags. No big deal. As someone earlier pointed out, you should always be prepared to be without your checked bags for a while when you fly. So, we had everything that we needed to put our 2 year old to bed in our carry on bags. BUT I didn't know if our other two bags were just late, or if they had been lost between Hartford and Orlando. I was not able to get a straight answer about that from Pop's luggage services despite a phone call and two visits. However, about 8:30pm (10 hours after our flight had landed) our last two bags arrived. Again, not a big deal as far as ME is concerned - my real issue here was not the delay, but was not being able to find out if my luggage was lost and I needed to contact the airline to make a claim or just delayed.

When we left, we got to the ME bus stop about 8 minutes before our scheduled time (which was late as far as I am concerned. They tell you to be there 15 minutes prior, and I would not have been surprised or upset if we had missed our bus because of this). However, others that were there assured us we did not miss the 4:45 bus. So we waited....and waited... After 1/2 hour, a member of POP's luggage services came over to tell us "Sometimes they are just late." Ok, how late? Almost an hour it turns out. We did not miss our flight, but did have to rush a bit to make it OK.

Sounds like most people have had good experiences with it though. I think if I were to use it again, I would probably pick up my own checked bags, as some on our bus did do. I hope that your trip goes smoothly!
