Magical Express or Car?

We are a party of 6. Two will be flying into MCO. The remaining 4 will drive to Disney World. For the two who are flying, should they take Magical Express or should one of us who are driving pick them up at the airport? What would be the quickest and most convenient for the 2 who are flying. The drivers will arrive at Disney the same day as the flight but much earlier (probably around 1pm), so we will have had time to get in our room and settled. Their plane lands at 10:20pm if that makes any difference. Thanks!

I would take magical express. I wouldn't feel right having someone stop what they are doing to come and pick me up and MCO when there's another perfectly good alternative.

It depends- they will have to get their own luggage either way because it is after 10 PM - personally, that late, i would rather someone pick up due to they might be the last stop on the bus - they might not get to their rooms till 11:30 - Midnight via the bus

I should clarify. The people who are flying are my sister and her DS age 3. It won't be an inconvenience at all for me to go pick her up. As of now, she will not have her luggage. We plan to drive down with her luggage and car seat. I want to do what will be easiest for my sister.

If you don't mind I would pick her up that late at night.
The DME is sometimes slower that time of night as it may sit a bit waiting to fill before heading out.
During the middle of the day the general belief is that it takes 70 - 90 minutes to reach your resort via DME from the time you leave your gate. If you pick them up it will still take close to an hour from gate to hotel, so it is really up to the two of you

I would normally say to take DME. But...with the lateness of the flight, and them having to get their baggage anyway, I would just go and pick them up. At 10:00, the traffic will be very manageble for you. So, you can just wait for them to text you (waiting in the cell phone lot), then drive to arrivals and pick them up!

That changes my answer - pick them up.

I say Magical Express. And have a nice snack for them when they get to the resort

Take the ME. When we arrived to the resort at different times it was so easy for everyone to take ME. Unless the two includes someone that would need extra assistance like an infant or elderly just take the ME. Fast and easy.

Pick 'em up. :)

The airport isn't so far that it's a hardship IMO.

And it's lovely to be met an an airport.

Are tolls each way enough to matter?

Tolls will be $2.50 each way... so $5.00. Its an easy drive and and the airport shouldn't be crazy. If you are looking for the fastest way it would be to pick them up. I don't know the resort you are staying at but if you pick her up she will be most likely closer to her room then if MDE drops her off.

Personally, I would have them ride DME because I won't want to get in the car and leave to go pick them up when I know a bus that is already coming will pick them up especially if you already have their luggage.

Thanks for all the advice. We are staying at AKL. I think I am just going to go ahead and pick them up.

With a 10:20 gate arrival, they would not make it down to ME until close to 10:45, and arriving at the resort around midnight is likely. Unless the 3 year old is a real trooper, I would pick them up.

Do the express. Don't make someone sit there and wait for you after they just drove.
