We usually drive down, or rent a car (hubby likes to have a vehicle down there). I'm racing down in a couple weeks to enjoy Wishes one last time. Got a killer deal on airfare, and my sister in law is adding me to her reservation. Her reservation at BCV is from 3/19-3/22. I will arrive on 3/20 and leave on 3/22. Will I be able to schedule ME once she adds me? Or does it have to be the entire party? TIA

Oh goodness. It's been a while since I've been here. Need to add some trips to the signature!!!!!

Yes, once you have an on-site reservation, you should be able to add ME with your flight info. Each guest gets 1 ride to and from airport, does not have to be the same as others.

Should not be a problem at all. Contact ME directly and they will fix you up. Have a great trip!!

I actually have a question about using DME as well. I am flying down the night before and staying offsite but would like to use the ME the following day just looking to see how I could go about it

As long as you have a reservation at a Disney resort the next day, you have to make your way back to the airport from your off sight hotel in order to use the DME. If you do not have a reservation at a Disney resort you will not be allowed to use the DME.

I am staying at the POP the next day so yes I do have a reservation but I'm seeing they want flight info and I'm not sure how I would go about that since my flight comes in the night before.

Just find and choose a random flight number that arrives around the time you want to use DME the next day after your off site stay.

what airline do you suggest being dropped off at for the most convenient drop to get down to DME? i have a super heavy bag, so the least amount of trekking the better! since i can have a taxi drop me anywhere, i may as well pick the best place!

Because this is a year old thread, you would be better off starting a new thread in order to get answers. But, I'll give you one here....get dropped off on Side B. If you get dropped off at the check in level you can just take an elevator down to level 1 and DME.

really? i hate starting new threads. i always just assume it bumps to the top :)

i know side B, just would hate to walk the length of the side with a heavy bag and a bad back!

If you are taking DME just use the provided tags and they will pick your bag up for you unless of course you are referring to a carry on.

Here's the reason to start a new thread. When someone sees the old thread that you post on, they will be taken right to the oldest thread they went to...that could be the fourth post in a 500 post thread. So, it can take a very long time to get to your question/post. It's always best to start a new thread. Not to mention it really annoys some people to go through a thread only to find it's an old thread that may have no bearing on the current facts.

It looks like you're looking for a way to get dropped off right at the DME level, close to the DME area. That isn't going to happen. That's for ground transportation. For those picking up via private transport. You're best bet is going to be getting dropped off on the arrivals area, by baggage claim and going down to level 3. I think the far end that services United, Spirit, American is the same end that DME is on. So, if you get dropped at the far end of that area, you should be able to get on an escalator/elevator that drops you as close as humanly possible to DME.

Actually an excellent question although for some reason I can't understand, some folks feel annoyed being asked this as question #2 after getting the answer to a more generic question #1.

Suggested answer for this specific question: United.

A not to scale MCO map showed United and Spirit near the corner with American a little closer to the middle of Side B.

Who exactly gave you the idea they were annoyed? The proper thing to do would be to post a new thread instead of bumping one (that's only barely related) over a year old.

Oops, forgot to say different date, different place, different forum, different question but of the same flavor.

E.g. Me: Could you give me directions to your store?
Clerk on phone: (snip) As you approach (snip) intersection you can't miss us.
Me: As I approach that intersection what lane should I get in? (Knowing full well that if I am in the wrong lane, you know the story).
Clerk: We have a sign out front.

Usually if I choose to look at a long thread, I will look at the last page (with the latest posts) first or look at it immediately after looking at the first page.

I’d honestly give you that same answer.

Sidestepping a question instead of answering it directly suggests to me annoyance by the question or by the person asking the question.

Saying one does not know the answer is an acceptable response.

For those who return to MCO to take Magical Express after, say, staying at a hotel near MCO, it is not possible to get baggage into the DME automagical transport to your resort room. All bags would have to be schlepped down to the DME welcoming area and put under the bus.
