Magical Express, Late Arrival & Luggage PLUS Scooter

Hello all. Here is our scenario. Hope someone can help with answers.

My wife (36), son (4) and I (36) are staying at ASMo from May 5th through the 21st. We are flying into MCO, arriving at 9:20 PM.

My wife is on dialysis and has severe, advanced osteoperosis. She broke both legs last year during Disney trip. Brittle bones, no other cause.

Anyway...we are traveling with at least 4 pieces of luggage, not including carry-ons. Also, we will be traveling with a scooter.

We have a Midsize SUV through Alamo rented.

My question is this...

Has anyone used Magical Express just to transport their luggage?

I don't think that we can fit two adults, four pieces of luggage, my son and his car seat AND a scooter.

You can NOT use DME to just transport your luggage. If you don't check in, have your voucher scanned by the bus driver and board the bus, your luggage will not leave the airport. DME's primary purpose is to transport Guests between the airport and Disney's resorts (so, among other things, they don't stop and spend money elsewhere ), the luggage transport is just an added perk. You might want to consider shipping your luggage to your resort via FedEx or UPS.

I use a powerchair myself, so I have a little experience with this... Anyhow, what I seriously think you should consider, is sending your wife along with her scooter on the DME shuttle... you could decide which luggage to send with her, or perhaps your son might want to go with her? This is how I have generally gotten to & from the resorts as my powerchair won't go in any known rental car
