Magical Express from airport when using a bus service?

My husband and I are trying the Redcoach bus service from Atlanta to Orlando this trip. We are staying at Saratoga Springs. We get in at 7:30am and then there is a shuttle to MCO.

It makes sense to me that this could be handled in the same way as if I flew in on a nonparticipating airline. Before I call MS to plead my case--does anyone have any feedback?

There's no such thing as participating or non-participating airline when flying in to MCO. Any guest at a WDW resort flying on any airline can use all of the DME services, including luggage transfer.

That said, if the bus is delivering you at MCO on the day you are scheduled to check in to a WDW resort there is no reason you could not use the DME bus for transportation to your resort. You won't be able to use the luggage transfer service, since that requires that the bags be tagged and in the airline system, but there's no problem with just bringing your luggage to the bus with you (be sure to tip the driver for handling any bags).

If you want to avoid any confusion with the reservation on DME, just find a flight that arrives around when you expect the bus to drop you off and tell them that's the flight you'll be on.

If you are looking to use DME from MCO to SSR, after arriving at MCO on a coach bus service, you're good to go. Anyone staying at a WDW owned resort is entitled to ride the DME bus to and from the airport. It makes absolutely no difference how they get there....plane, car, bus or yak. You must reserve it prior to arrival though. I would simply go to an airlines website, choose a flight that is arriving about the same time you are and give them that info. Yes, you can probably talk to them about arriving without flight info, but they get confused easily..just give them some flight info.
You will take your bags to the checkin area, and they will be stowed beneath the bus you are on.
You can also book the return trip to MCO as well...you can do that either when you make the first reservation or you can do it when you checkin at DME or you can do it at your resort. Just be sure you do it a few days before you checkout. Again, you may have to give them 'bogus' flight info.
