WE ARE DEBATING ON WHETHER WE SHOULD HAVE ME TAKE OUR LUGGAGE FOR US OR IF WE SHOULD TAKE THEM OURSELVES TO MAKE SURE WE GET OUR LUGGAGE.

WHAT HAVE YOUR EXPERIENCES BEEN LIKE WITH ME?

LOST LUGGAGE? IF SO HOW DID THE PROBLEM GET SOLVED

GOOD REPORTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED TOO.

THANK YOU

6 WEEKS TO GO!!!! :thumbsup2

I had no problem with DME in December last year. Everything was fine. CHeck-In one hour from time of deplane. Bus was very comfy. LOL on the Video when leaving for the hotel. Driver forgot to re-wind I think as we had the spiel as if we where leaving Orlando then arriving. We all were ROFL Bags arrived while I was at MGM that evening. Room was just as I requested at POFQ. I hope it is as smooth when I go this November right after Thanksgiving.

IMO, everybody should use DME as intended. Allow Disney (well, ASIG) to transport your luggage from the airport to your resort and Bell Services to your room.
I'm curious why people trust the airlines to transport their luggage several thousand miles, but don't trust (the extremely successful) DME program to transport it the last twenty or thirty miles? Last year alone, the airlines 'misdirected' ten thousand pieces of luggage PER DAY in the United States alone; 200,000 of those bags were never located. DME on the other hand has misdirected... okay, I don't know. But they've lost none.

It worked like a charm for us. It was so nice not to drag our luggage around everywhere with a small child. I loved it and will definitely use it again.

How long is it now taking for luggage to appear in your room? We will probably arrive at our resort around 7:00 p.m. (after a 5:00 landing at MCO). Will we have our luggage before it gets too late in the evening? Probably just having dinner there at the resort and calling it an early bed night...

Used DME twice. When we arrived at 11 pm, we brought our luggage on the DME bus. When we arrived at 1pm, we let them take our luggage. When we got back from the park, our luggage was there. We will be arriving at 11pm again this trip, so once again, we will take our luggage on the bus. I just dont want to wait up for our luggage that late at night. Have a great trip!

We've used it twice with no problems. For us, not having to deal with the luggage is the absolute best part! Waiting around for the luggage and dragging it on the bus ourselves would make the whole service pretty pointless.

There shouldn't be any problem letting ME take care of your checked luggage. But, just in case somebody (not necessarialy ME) does mis-route your bags, follow a tip from the seasoned travelers and pack a day's worth of clothes, toiletries, medications, etc in your carry-on bag.
