Will ME drop off at a resort other than your own? I was able to snag a Beaches and Cream lunch on arrival day and was wondering if ME would drop us at one of the Boardwalk resorts. And we could make our way to our resort after that. :)

You can only get on the bus that's slated to go to your resort. That bus might or might not also go to the resort you want to visit.

If it happens to go to a Boardwalk resort, if you have nothing under the bus, you could always just get off the bus. But they only take out the under-bus carryons that "belong" to that resort.

So if you're a very light carryon-type packer, and your bus happens to go where you want it to go, you could do it.

We usually only have one backpack with swimsuits, basic toiletries and a couple of kid activities.

We are headed to AOA.

Bumbershoot is right about the buses not necessarily going to the Boardwalk and getting on the bus. DME is not licensed as a bus service by MCO but as a hotel transfer service. It can only transfer you between your hotel and the airport. So if you aren't staying at the Yacht and Beach club they aren't supposed to drop you off there. That would violate their license.

No given bus travels to all resorts. They go to clusters of resorts. The Epcot hotels tend to be one cluster, the MK resorts another, the southern resorts another. And at that they will only go to the resorts of the passengers on that bus.

Basically, being dropped off for Beaches and Cream is not something you should plan on.

What time is your flight scheduled to land and what time is your ADR?

A thought: I'd put the Uber app on your phone, and when your Magical Express bus actually starts moving (we waited a looong time on the bus last week), book Uber from AoA to "Disney's Beach Club Resort" (it showed up automatically, written that way, when I went to figure out the cost just now). It says $7. Apparently there are tons of uber drivers waiting around at/around Disney resorts and parks.

I will definitely keep that in my back pocket - Uber seems like at great back up plan at Disney.
