Anyone with experience regarding Magical Express and catching a plane home.... please help!!!

We have a departure flight at 4 p.m. out of Orlando Int.

When should be be catching Magical Express out of the Coronado? Do they schedule you a ride, or is it more like a shuttle service?

I know checkout is late morning, but if our flight isn't until 4 p.m., when should I anticipate leaving the resort on the Express??

We are taking only carry on's so luggage isn't an issue.

I just used DME this morning to travel from the Wilderness Lodge to MCO. They scheduled our bus trip and left a message in a hanging folder on our resort door the day before. It told us where to be and when to catch our bus and we got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Hope your trip is as fun as ours just was!

We used DME last month. My dh left before dd and myself, from BCV. He had no 'on/under the door' instructions the night before. And of course, I forgot all about the return vouchers for him. He went to the DME desk that morning and got on the 8:30 bus. The driver gave him a little guff about not having a voucher, but he finally let him on the bus. When dd and I left, 5 days later, from POR, again I forgot the vouchers!! Dim bulb..I know. We had a 3:00 pm flight, on Song, to Boston. We got to the DME desk at 8:40 to check our luggage and get our boarding passes. They told me (again, nothing left on our door the night before!) dd and I should show up for the 12:00 bus, or maybe the 12:30. I returned to the lobby area around 11:00 and asked about vouchers, since I had left them in my checked luggage, which was now already at MCO!!! Bell Services very nicely gave me a new one. We sat down for about a bit. At 11:45, the line for the noon bus was waaaaay long, so we decided we had better get in the line. There was a huge group of people leaving POR at the same time. There had been a Pampered Chef convention it seems and they all were leaving at the same time!! The driver asked for those with no luggage to put under the bus to come to the front of the line and board. Off we went. Then those with luggage were able to board..after their stuff was stowed under the bus. We made no other stops since POR had already filled the bus. In fact, they had to send a second bus for those that had not been able to get on the first bus. We got to MCO with plenty of time to spare. Had a nice lunch and then boarded our plane.

Have to say the DME worked out really well for us. I'll be using it several more times.

You should ask for return vouchers and a bus time the day before returning home if you did not already get the vouchers and bus time sooner.

THe bus time should be 3 hours before your flight departs, ask for more time if you have a charter flight or international flight.
