magical express and luggage tags question

So we only received 3 out of the 6 needed luggage tags for ME. I called and they said all we need to do is give the ME people our SW baggage claim when we get to Orlando and they will pull the luggage that doesn't have a tag. Has anyone had this happen before?? I am concerned about losing the luggage!!!

Yes there are people who don't tag their luggage or who don't receive the luggage tags in time or who need more tags than they recieve and DME gets the bags. You have a better chance of the airline losing your luggage than DME losing it. The first time I used DME I didn't tag my bag and it got to me just fine.

LOTS of people. Disney stopped sending out multiple tags per person earlier this year, because most airlines charge for even the first checked bag so most Guests only check one bag per passenger. But did you call the regular Disney number, or did you call the Magical Express toll-free number? If you call the latter, and there's time, they'll send out the extra tags you need.

Otherwise, trust us - many Guests do not tag their luggage for a variety of reason, yet Disney manages to collect and deliver it all. Show your claim checks to the CM at the Welcome Center and someone will be dispatched to pull your luggage and divert it to the sorting center.

When I received our ME packet a couple of weeks ago, there were only two luggage tags. I called and requested two additional tags - which I received within the week. The cast member told me that they now only send out one tag per guest. On our trip last May, I did not realize until three days before our trip that I did not have enough tags. I carefully cut one in half and used that. Our luggage arrived with no problem.
