This was our first family trip to Walt Disney World. We went for my DD 4th b-day and we couldn't have asked for a more magical time!!! We won 3 dreams during the time we were there:

1.) Back-stage guided tour through Soarin'. They announced my DD name to everyone and wished her a happy birthday and put us to the front of the line.

2.) DD and DS were chosen to be the "prince" and "princess" to start the line going into Fantasmic. They even got little certificates.

3.) We all got YOMD pin lanyards getting into line at the train ride in Animal Kingdom in Africa.

And the greatest thing ever happened to my daughter, not sure if it is considered a dream or not though, but it certainly was to us!! The second day we were there we visited Ariel in her grotto (my daughter's FAVORITE princess). She was really very sweet to both my dd and ds (2). The next day, the same Ariel was at Akershus lunch in Norway (w/ her "legs" on). She remembered both of the kids and talked extensively with my daughter about favorite rides, etc. She then left and about 10 mins later came back to our table and asked us if we were going to the Pirate and princess Party the next night. We said we were and she said "Great! Meet me at the exit of my grotto at 8:30 SHARP". We then proceeded to tell Ariel that it was my daughter's 4th birthday the night of the P&PP. She was thrilled. We were so excited, especially my daughter. So the next night, we did as we were told. A few CM's came out to the exit and asked if this was Alexa's party (my daughter). We said yes, and they gave us some beads and led us into the grotto. Ariel and Prince Eric were there waiting for us. The line had been stopped and no one could see in. Ariel gave a bunch of presents to my DD!! She gave her an Ariel jewelry/music box, wand, crown, a personal card written by Ariel, an Ariel purse and a few other things I can't remember. She also didn't forget my son and Prince Eric gave him a cool pirates hat, sword, coloring book and crayons. She sat there and talked to my daughter for a good 15 minutes. I cannot explain to you how amazing this was, it brought tears to my eyes!!! What better gift to a 4yr old little girl on her birthday than to get her own private meet and greet from her Favorite Princess??!!!

WDW is really a place were dreams come true!! :goodvibes

What a wonderful surprise!!! I hope you got lots of pictures of your DD's special time with Ariel!! How cool that this was your first trip too! :thumbsup2

That is awesome getting DD some extra special time with Ariel. My daughter would have been in heaven. Gongrats.

We got lanyards last trip so some extra magic during this trip would be cool.

Oh, how sweet!! :lovestruc What a wonderful surprise for your daughter's birthday. How very kind of Ariel and Eric to help celebrate like that. She will always have that memory of her 4th birthday. I'd love to see pictures! ;)

We were struck by how kind Mulan was at the Storybook Breakfast in Epcot. She spent several minutes talking to both dd 5 (it was her birthday too) and dd 1.5. She told us to come find her later in the day in China. When we did see her several hours later, she remembered the names of both girls and that it was dd's birthday. We were just so impressed and touched by how genuine and kind she was, especially with the baby.

Here are a few of the pictures! Sorry they are so big, I don't know how to make them smaller?? :confused3

Wow MamaofTwo! That is so great your daughter got to meet Mulan :goodvibes She is absolutley beautiful! That is the one princess we didn't get to meet. She wasn't at the lunch at Norway when we went. Your daughter is a real cutie :cutie: Isn't it great how special some of the characters make the kids feel?? That's what Disney is all about!:thumbsup2

I am glad you had a magical time as well!:wizard:

How sweet is THAT!!! How very special for both your children. I'm sure they were beside themselves.

I loved reading both of these stories and seeing the pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for your kind words. :lovestruc We were so excited to see Mulan, as she was the one princess who had thus far eluded us.

And thanks for sharing those gorgeous pictures. You definitely made a magical memory. :wizard: How incredibly sweet. Your dd is adorable and looks like she is totally in love with Ariel!
