Rookie question. What are "Magical Beginnings"? I became an owner just last week and must have missed something. ???

Did you buy direct from Disney or resale? It's only available direct from Disney. How it works is you sell back a portion of your first year points for a set price (I think the way it works now is WLV is $5/pt, VB & HH is $10/pt). Say you bought 150 points at WLV, you could sell back up to half, 75 points for $5/pt or $375. The $375 would be part of your down payment. I don't think it's a very good deal at $5/pt, you are better off keeping the points and using them this year or banking them.

you can rent for $10 to $12 a point on the rent/trade board, so they are worth more than $5.
