Magical Beginnings Tax Implications

Hello. Does anyone know what tax implications exist with magical beginnings sell back of points on a DVC contract? Can the contract itself be looked at as an expense? I appreciate any tax savvy input and realize that I will likely need to have a more detailed conversation when I look to file. Thanks again for any information.

It’s considered a rebate so no tax implications with that.

We did not receive a 1099 and were told it was a rebate and would not need to pay taxes.
