We will be going to Magical beginnings this Sunday. My parents who are Fla residents want to join us. Will they be able to get in if they are not staying on property even though we are? I am leaving at noon today and need to know pretty quick. Thanks.

just curious, we don't have kids with us..but it looks like fun to weatch the kids/characters etc....can you go without kids?

It is only for resort guests so they cannot join you for this time but can join you in MK when it opens to all guests.

Nobody knows the "correct" answer to this.

There have been posts here that say "no problem" and posts that relate that guests without little kids where stopped at the gates and turned away.

The Disney website does not give an age limitation but just says "resort guests."

There was inadequate advance information on this.
IMHO, it was uncharacteristically mishandled and poorly publicized by Disney this year.

I was at WDW last week and was let in without a problem without kids so I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. The character interaction with the kids is definetly worth watching if you are able to get in.

Sorry, can't answer your question. I just wanted to say that we will be there Sunday as well!!! :thumbsup2 My DSis's DD is 5, so I'm hoping it will be OK for my DD (6) and me to get in to. I'm assuming it'll be fine. Anway, look for us! I'm hoping to get a LGMHPC affixed to our fanny packs.

There were lots of folks who had to do lots of "assuming" on this promotion.

I also "assume" that you won't have any problems whatsoever. :thumbsup2

But I contrast that to the ASSURANCE that, if this were a "regular EMH" morning, you FOR SURE would have no problems entering if you had a valid resort key-card.

Have a good trip!

Anyone know, is Magical Beginnings ending at the end of September? I thought that is what they advertised, but if it is still going into October, I may need to change our plans!

That is what I thought...thanks Robo...ah well we still get 6 days of magic

I went on 9/17 and had no problems getting in. And there were so few people, no one near me at the gate that the CM might have thought I was with. Just a 54 yo woman by herself, I have an AP and she didn't even ask if I was a resort guest. Kind of strange that there was no question, but a relief since I wanted to go (I was a resort guest if she'd asked, but definitely no children under 5).

Yes, that's what I would have expected...
but there was a very long thread (or a dozen :goodvibes ) a while back that related several stories that said "kid-less" guests were turned away A|T THE GATES!

I'm just not so SURE I actually believe them, because it seemed so counter to "Disney logic."
And, because some posters have been quite upset that anyone without a 5-yr-old might "get in," stories could have easily been "planted" (anybody can post on here and claim just about ANYTHING) to discourage other guests from attending these EMH mornings.

Regardless, it caused quite a stir on these boards.

HERE's the main thread of this "discussion."

Pop some corn and HANG ON... :goodvibes
