Hi!

Okay...it's been a while since I've been back to WDW. The last time I went, I was able to get a "length of stay pass with a DVC discount of 20%"...ah, the good old days. =)

So I'm trying to understand the MYW tickets...but I need some help.

I'm trying to figure out what's the most cost effective way to go...

If I save myself the money by not going with the hopper option, am I going to regret it...or can I plan the stay so that I only need to visit one park a day, including any restaurants, shows, etc???

What about Pleasure Island...should I add this option since I'm staying at SSR or should I just buy admission seperately?

I'm going to be there 4 full days...I've been trying to figure out how much if I go with all the bells and whistles on the ticket(minus the expiration option) the ticket will cost...I think if my calculations are correct, I'm looking at approx. $200????

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. :worship:

Do you plan to go to the clubs at Pleasure Island? And if so, will you be going every night or only once? To add the "and more" option it will cost you $48. I'm not sure what the current price for admission to the clubs is right now, but All Ears Net reports (as of 2/05) the cost is $22.32 for multi-club admission or $10.60 for one club only (including tax). The single club admission price excludes Adventurer's Club and Comedy Club.

Of course, the "and more" option includes DisneyQuest and the water parks as well. So if you're planning to visit there it may be better for you to get the "and more" option.

So maybe I should just go all out...I just don't know that I can plan every night down to every detail. And I wouldn't want to be locked in to a set agenda, I like to go with the flow...if we want to go to Pleasure island more than one night...or to more than one club...I want to be able to go.

How many of you use the Park hopper feature? The last few times I've been, I have hopped but because I've had lunch ressie's or dinner ressies at a park other than the one I visited during the day...maybe with some planning I could cut out the hopper portion...or then again...maybe I need to just suck it up and pay for the whole darn thing.

Rambling...sorry...hehehe

I just got into the DVC Member site (it was down for a while). DVC Members get $4 off an adult admission to Pleasure Island.

My husband and I are taking his daughter and her best friend (they're both almost 30 years old) to WDW in October, and they've decided against the "and more" option but are buying the parkhopper option.

It all depends on what YOU want to do, not what everyone else does.

Pleasure Island also seasonally runs a special where you purchase admission for one night and can buy up to an additional five nights for only $5. Maybe someone on one of the other boards can tell when when this runs, or even give you the current costs.

I guess I should sit down and try to come up with some sort of plan. See if park hopping and PI is worth the cost, or if with a little planning, I can cut the cost of the tickets a little.

Thanks for the help...I'm almost 30 years old too. =) I do plan to go to PI at least one night to the Adventurer's Club, love that place...but not sure I'll be there every night.

Hhhmmm...

I am disappointed to hear that the one club only ticket does not include Adventurer's Club. It is the only place my husband and I want to go on PI, and I was looking forward to the price break, something not easily found at WDW.

Since you don't mention an interest in Disney Quest or water parks, my recommendation is do the hopper and pay as you go on the rest. If the "and more" adds $48, and the one day is $22, you could go twice and still have saved a couple bucks, unless you think you'll really want to go every night. Then, if you end up going only once, you'll really have saved.

That's true...on both points. It is disappointing that the one club ticket to PI doesn't include Adventurer's Club, it's my favorite. =)

And that I may end up going to PI more than once or twice anyway. So paying the one day admission may be all I need.

If I were you I'd probably buy the hopper option but skip the "and more" one. I'd just figure I'd pay for them as they came along, if I desired. But with only four days there I wouldn't want to be locked into only one park per day, unless you only plan on doing two parks. You could still have somewhat of a flexible schedule but plan the pleasure island trips.
