Have any of you FL residents been to THE DISNEY SITE and looked over the MYWT prices. What do you think about the Play 3 tickets? Have we lost out on a good deal since they took away the Play 4 hopper passes? Just wondering what you FL residents think. DH and I only visit the parks 4 days while at Disney and now we're going to have to buy that single day ticket for FL residents to get that 4th day so I guess in reality, now we're getting 4 days for 3 at the rate for non residents without park hopping. I don't mind not having a hopper as DH and I never park hopped anyway on our trips. We would always visit the same park each day we visited. We just liked it better that way.

May I have some opinions please from my FL residents?

Thanks,

Denise

Based on your Disney attendance trend I would recommend the Seasonal Pass Its only $199 its good for a year and the annual renewal rate is Something like 10 or 15% cheaper than the original price.

Opinion-it's a "rip". So, they are planning to do away with the Play 4's??? and replace it with this so called Magic your way, 3 day...NO WAY, not for me!

I got an email the other day from WDW about all these "wonderful" new plans for FL residents. We're just about to purchase seasonal APs again and I've been waiting for details...well, all's I gotta say is... "big woop"!

We'll be getting our regular seasonal APs. I guess they'll be going up too. And, the one day ticket thing, where's the savings?? C'mon.

Back in the early 90s times were real tough for WDW, but us FL residents really helped support them. Then things picked up and the WDW owned resort rates went through the roof and no FL resident rates were to be found. Not a surprise, once again things are getting good after a slump and they skimp on their supporters (during the bad times), but make it look like something good?

I may get flamed Tiggerlover91, but I can relate to how you feel :bitelip:

Seasonal pass is clearly the way to go if you are a FL resident.

Actually, it's better for us. We have alot of out of town guests in the summer, who always want to go to WDW a few days. The seasonal passes nor the Play 4 passes would work for those visits. We used to always buy the AP, but now that we have a pet, and WDW is not pet friendly, we have been spending our time & money at Universal, who is very pet friendly. The new tickets will be much cheaper for us. I also love the one day park hopper option. We've been so many times, we know exactly what we want to do and see. It will be great to be able to go over for the day and hit the new or favorite rides in each park. I guess it just depends on your situation. :)

Not necessarily. I don't visit enough for a seasonal pass. The Play 4 would have been perfect for DH and I. I suppose now, we'll just have to get the Play 3 and add that extra day upon arrival if we decide to do The Studios. I can do without it, but if I really want to see the Beauty and the Beast Show and Muppets 3-D then I will add the extra day once we arrive. :D

We love the seasonal pass! although my 30th bday is blacked out.....there are always drawbacks to every option i guess....

To tell you the truth, 3 days is enough for me, so I would get the pass.

i'm not a florida resident, so i may be missing something, but how 'bout buying a MYW 7 (or 8 if they sell them) day pass and get the "no expiration" option so it covers two trips? the more days you buy, the lower the 'per day' price becomes... it might solve your problem :)

Because DH and I don't go enough for that no expiration offer and for 7 or 8 day passes. We only spend 4 days in the parks anyway, so I don't need anything more. I also don't want to spend that much money on tickets that I know I will not use.

well, it seems you go almost annually, no? if i could lock in 2006 tix at 2004 or 2005 prices, i can't consider it anything less than a good deal... if you go w/the no expiration add-on, you could use them a year or two later...

HI GIGI!

Actually, DH and I don't even go annually. :guilty: Look at my signature and you will see our last trip was May of 2001 and before that, he and I visited May of 1998. The trip in June of 2000 was with mom, sister, and neices, so that's why I don't count that one.

I think the Play 3 may be the best deal for us considering how little we do travel to Disney.

I appreciate you responding!

Have a blessed evening!

We(DD, DSIL,DGS and I ) will be going in Feb. We all have our tks except DSIL, who is a Fl resident. I am treating :D and am trying to figure out the best way to go with these Fl resident passes. We will be visiting the parks, and park hopping, for 5 days. Am I correct in thinking that the Fl resident seasonal pass, even though it will only be used on our 5 vacation days, is the way to go. The only other option seems to me to be the 3 day pass($119 plus tax) and 2 0ne day passes ($ 59.75 each plus tax). Alot more that the Fl res seasonal pass ($211.94). Am I figuring this out correctly? Will they still offer the seasonal pass with the new Your Way tks and does anyone know what the new price will be?? Thanks so much for any help you may be able to give me. If necessary I will purchase tks before the new prices go into effect. Karen

I'm not too thrilled with the new tickets. We usually buy 4 or 5 day park hoppers because I like the no expiration part. We usually don't plan our trips that far in advance and I'm not sure when we'll be going. We just went a couple of weeks ago and only booked about 2 weeks before. The price is going to go up for us. :sad1:

I haven't bought the Play for passes in years, but it seems like the price for new 3 day thing has gone up. The last time I bought one it was $99 for 4 days. Now it's $119 for 3 days.

I still think the seasonal pass is the best way to go, the renewal rate is 183.00 that is just 3 park visits and perhaps if you did have the pass you would go more especially during the Food and Wine Festival and the Flower and Garden Festivals. It's a nice little mini vacation and with the passes you feel like if you missed something you can go back and catch it on another day. Although I don't know how far away for the parks Gulf Breeze is ( I am only an hour and a half away) so the seasonal passes are great for me. But I am beginning to wonder if Disney is beginning to not care about the passholders since we probably do not spend the money that others do when we can go anytime we want.

Gulf Breeze is 6 1/2 hours away from Disney. If DH and I lived closer then I would consider the seasonal passes, but it's not something we can do 2 or 3 times a year. It's time off from work we just can't afford at the time. :( I'm going to stick with the Play 3 passes now. They're going to be just fine for the two of us. Even if we have to buy that 4th day we still come out about $41 cheaper than buying the seasonal passes. Actually, we would save $82 because seasonal passes are $212 (I rounded up) for each person. I'm assuming the price I see in the post above includes tax.
