has anyone stayed at a disney resort and used the magic your way package with dinning? how does the dinning work? is it worth it? do you get good food and enough of it? is it a waste of money? They charge like 500 dollars extra to add it wich i think is a bit excessive.... where do you get to eat, do you have to watch what you eat and stay in a number of points or something like that? what if you go over?

We used it last month. You get each day: one counter service meal, one table service meal, and one snack. We made reservations for the table service meals in advance. For snacks, we would get water bottles, pop, popcorn, ice cream. It was a good deal for our family. Oh, and the tip is included with the table service meals. For the counter service meals, you get a dessert. We would get a cookie, or muffin and bring it back to the room for a late night snack.

The only food we paid for out of pocket was a bag of chips to bring up to our room, and 2 funnel cakes at MK. It was plenty of food for our family (I felt so guilty throwing alot of the kids' food away that they didn't finish). If I was paying out of pocket for all of the meals, I wouldn't have bought as much food, nor would I have gone to some of the places to eat. I would have been much more frugal with our meal choices.

If I was staying onsite, I would get it again.

We used it when we went in Nov and I think it is so worth it!! There is plenty of food and lots of great resturants to choose from. I wish they would offer it to people not staying on property though!

Check out the dining forum. There's a really nice section on all the facts about the dining plan. I found it really helpful!

from home for a couple mornings and snacks and juices...ended up taking alot of it home! We were able to enjoy 4 character meals and a nice meal at coral reef...We did spend $45 at Planet Hollywood [drinks, appetizer and kids meals with 2 vouchers for adult entrees] and $12 for souvenir mug.

My parents did 3 of the character meals and spent lots of $$ so worked out well.
