MAGIC YOUR WAY Dining

at www.touringplans.com they have a breakdown to show you if it's worth it for you to save you money.

We just decided to go this fall and think we'll probalby do this b/c for us it will save money or at least let us break even.

The plan provides for 2 meals per day plus a snack. 1 sit down meal consisting of appetizer, entree, dessert and a non-alcoholic drink (generally soda and Iced tea); 1 counter service meal ie Macdonalds visit the counter type, which includes entree, dessert and non-alcoholic drink.

You will receive credits for the number of nights that you are staying and you may use those credits at any time at any of the participating restaurants. Most only require one credit, some require 2 credits (signature rest.)

The flexibility of the plan is useful. You may combine paying cash for a meal and using credits. We did this with our 5 and 3 yr old at Coral Reef (signature rest.). We used their credits for the adult meals and paid for the kids meals.

The plan allows you to order from the regular menu, no special menu's, and, in my opinion, is better utilized at restaurants that are not buffet service.

If you need any further info, let me know

Yes, refills are free.

Only the soda and Iced tea. Speciality drinks and milk shakes etc are not part of the plan.

Actually, I have found that the prices at www.touringplans.com are much lower than what is listed at other places and what people have reported paying. It seems that for most people it is a savings, especially if you have children. The question is whether the savings is enough and whether the plan makes sense for you. Are you the type of family that eats a sit down meal every day, having an appetizer, meal, drink and dessert with each meal? Or are you the type of family that eats more counter service meals, or three sit down meals? For us, it appears that it will be a savings and does fit our style of touring, although I am concerned that it will be an awful lot of food!!

If you have children that are picky eaters, a great "scoop " i have read about is ; just paying cash for their kids meals, and banking their credits to use for a signature dining experinece. My family tends to eat a lot of buffets so the savings are as much as they could be, but i love the idea of the meals having already been paid for (no shocked credit card bills) and the fact that i dont have to carry anything but my room key
