Hi Everyone
Had a little look at the new Magic Your way price structure,At first glance it appears cheaper to Get a 10 day tocket with no park hopper option than a 7 day with park hopper option?
As we are big Universal fans too and also going to MVMCP 7 days will be enough ...SO....... Can you say in one day do MK till mid afternoon Then go to Epcot Thus using 2 days of your pass in 1 day
Has anyone heard of anyone doing this>
Thanks IAN

Almost any questions you have regarding Admission are answered in the Admission FAQ thread way up at the top of the Theme Parks and Attractions Strategy page. (Up where it says "sticky").

To answer your question though, no. If you don't purchase the park hopper option, you can't park hop.

I asked a MYW Ticket question a few days ago that wasn't addressed in the sticky section....so, thanks to those that helped me out so nicely! :flower:

As far as going to 2 parks with your non park hopping ticket, I can't imagine Disney saying "No, you cannot come it", after all they would getting 2 days of admission from you in one day. I would think that it would just cost you another day off your 10 day (or however many day) ticket. ...Of course I could be wrong! I don't have personal experience with it! Maybe call Disney and ask??

Nope. Can't come it!

You may not forfeit an additional day off of your seven or ten day non-hopping pass, perhaps a day you might otherwise lose to expiration, to visit a second theme park on a given day.

If you are staying 7 to 10 days, you have enough time you can leisurely visit one park per day without the need to hop.

Or if you suddenly have the urge to hop, you can run over to Guest Relations, add hopping* and return to the turnstile and go in.

Otherwise hardly anybody would purchase hopping for $37. when they could purchase a pass with more days for $3. apiece.

Don't waste a long distance call on hold to hear Mickey say what I just said.

*Except for a few passes that come with resort packages with a deadline for making changes.

The DIS is host to THOUSANDS of threads daily, so in order to keep things neat and tidy, we're trying to address all admission questions on the admission thread. If your question isn't on the FAQ itself, you can simply post to thread and ask it. :)

As for whether or not you can park hop, it can't be done. It's not that Disney would say no - their computers are not capable of processing admission that way. They are ONLY capable of looking at how many days your ticket has, and whether or not it includes park hopping. If it doesn't have park hopping, the computer just can't take off another day. It's not programmed to do that.

Awww...that's sad! :( I hadn't done the math, but it sure would seem that if you had the never expire version of the ticket then Disney would make money on the venture... But, the have people there just to figure out such things I guess, and will make it the best for them that they can. Like figuring the odds on if someone has 1 day left on their never expire tickets, what are the odds that they will loose the ticket before using it again....

I love the park hop option though and would always get it. You never know when you need to bail out of one park and head to another. I will always get that one, to us it is worth the extra money.

It is going to be interesting to see which tickets turn out to be the most popular and if it will change the touring patterns in the parks.

Regrettably I beg to differ as follows:

"Let's have a user friendly compromise. You can simply post to the Admissions Faq thread and ask your question but you do not have to go through all of the existing replies."

Many of us still use dialup modems and clicking through all 20 pages to find an answer is not really practical.

Now that you mention it I will start going over there to answer questions ... without reading through all the earlier replies.

I'm not asking anyone to wade through 20 pages of posts.

The very first post in that thread addresses the most Frequently Asked Questions. If your question is not answered, there is a button RIGHT above that first post that says "Reply to thread". Click it, and ask your question. :flower:

Not trying to come anything, But If I can get one over on DI$NEY to save a few dollars I will!! After seeing my young daughter On Main st refused Sprinkles on her Ice Cream unless she got to the BACK of a long queue she already been in to pay the cashier 50 cents my attitude changed! all this after just spending over $900 on passes

we are there for 14 days but we are visiting Universal and sea world a lot too,,,
Thanks for the help

>>> can't imagine Disney saying "no you cannot come it"
Did the PP (previous poster) mean to say "no you cannot come in"?

>>> very first post ... addresses the most Frequently Asked Questions
The entire thread, lock stock and barrel and 20+ pages, is titled "Admission... FAQ". Once the Disboards guest gets in and is per chance becomes overwhelmed ...

>>> back of a long queue to pay 50 cents [to get sprinkles]
It's a bit complicated to analyze whether the guest asked for sprinkles in the first place or whether a tip jar would have solved the problem or how easily DIsney can let low level cast members sprinkle pixie dust at their discretion or how much Guest releations should be burdened with petty complaints. Furthermore, if you went to the back of the line the ice cream would have melted and would have to be remade. What a waste.

>>> some folks reported trading up an older hopper pass and not having to put all of its attributes like non-expiration on the new pass
You need to be prepared to step out of line more than once to think things over. You might inquire about an MYW pass with certain attributes, then ask jsut the trade up value of the old pass (always get this first), and also be quoted the additional dollars needed without non-expiration. Saying you will think about it, you step out of line to crunch some numbers. You decide to do it and go back in line. Now the ticket agent says you need even more money to do it [the trade up] He says the rule is, the old pass had non-expiration so the new pass must and the previous number was wrong. So you have to say "no" and step out of line again to think about it and decide whether trading up is still worth it ...

Anyway I am starting to get confused and I currently suggest that folks, confused or not, use both Disboards and Disney in any allowable way they feel is easiest for them so long as folks are not rude to others.

Add to the mix people who don't speak English well and...

We all have bad experiences while we're at Disney. It happens. We're human and so are the people that work at Disney.

If you decide that that justifies trying to cheat Disney, or "get one over on them", that's completely your decision.

However, it is against DIS policy to post about it.
