Magic & Wonder Ever Pass Each Other?

On my first DCL cruise in I believe 1999, the Wonder & Magic were both doing 3 & 4 day cruises only. We were on the Magic and we passed the Wonder at around 10:30pm one night. My nephews were in the 9-11 age group of the Oceaneer's Club at the time. The Oceaneer's Club all went up to the top deck and when the ships were literally across from each other, the kid's club counselors shot off a flare towards the Wonder and the kid's club on the Wonder shot a flare back towards the Magic. It was really a neat thing to see.

Sounds like Disney has the general idea here, but trust me, a mid-sea pass is 100% more dramatic when the ships are close together and thousands of passengers are trying to outscream each other!!!!

Both ships were anchored off Castaway Cay New Year's Eve 1999 into 2000. It was quite a site, to be on the Magic and see the Wonder not far from us and watch the fireworks from the Cay. I have a pix of both ships, lit up with the fireworks going off between them. If I could post the pix, I would. It's really cool. Don't know how tho'.

I don't remember the year ( 99 I think ), but both the Magic and Wonder were in port together ( side by side ) in Nassau. It was an awesome sight and made for great pictures. Then the best thing was when we sailed out on the Magic, both ships played dueling horns of ....When You Wish Upon A Star. It was great !!

I "Wonder" if there would be any chance of the two ships meeting intentionally when the Magic returns from the repositioning cruise in August next year?
Kind of a Welcome Home type thing from the West Coast?
Be quite a neat thing to see :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Hi there

We will be on the May 12th 2005 Wonder Cruise and on the 14th we will be at Castaway Cay. At the same time the Magic will be leaving Port Canaveral for the 14 night repositioning cruise and heading to Castaway Cay, do you think we will see the Magic as we pass on our way back to Port Canaveral? and about what time.

Thanks
