I know we can get a discount as DVC members with the MK Family Magic Tour, but does anyone know about the GF tea party for kids?

On a side note if anyone has any comments on either that would be great, too!

I don't think there is a discount at all for the GF tea party.

which are you doing to - the simply one - or the very expensive one where your daughter gets a doll????

Yes to the Family Magic Tour - we did this in October. There is specific inventory for DVC - so definitely mention it before they check availability for when you want to go - it was full when I called and when I said DVC they had space for us...

We had a lot of fun on the tour - my kids are 5 and 7. I think if they were too much older it wouldn't have been a hit. The guide was so great - very in character - and we got to go to Mickey's Philharmagic without waiting in line at the end of the tour.

We're doing the tea party in April - I didn't think there was a discount - so I didn't even ask.

The GF Alice tea party where adults aren't allowed was the one I was referring to. (Side question- Any tips for things to do while they gone for an hour and a half?)

Thanks for the info on the family tour. How do you think a 3 and 6 year old would like it? I'm sure the 6 would be fine, but I'm wondering if 3 is to young? We're hoping to try some new things this trip.
Thanks!

the swimming pool at the GF is nice and we can pool-hop there (at least for now)

Ya, I was thinking about just getting a frozen drink, laying out by the GF pool and taking nap. Wow, I can barely imagine it! LOL
I was interested in the GF adult tea, but it is thirty minutes after the kids tea. They should schedule them at the same time.
I was also thinking about a short massage, but it appeared I would have to go over to VWL and I don't think I'd have enough time.
Someone mentioned I might get a discount at GF spa with an AP?

Did you call MS to book this?
Thanks!

I didn't call MS - I called the line they advertise for all the tours - don't have it handy now - but it should be on the main disneyworld site or on allears.net...

they should have the adult tea at the same time as the kids tea. We're staying at GF for 2 nights, so I guess we'll chill at the pool for an hour. Those activities at GF are getting hard to get - I was trying for the chef one and had no luck 4 months out...

I think your 3 year old will probably like many parts of it - but may not follow the whole of it. There is a lot of walking and you have to find clues to go to the next place - but the idea that you're on a "mission" appeals to kids I think. And the guide was great and there was a 3 yo on the tour who was more interested in the guide's enthusiasm than the tour. The little boy just wanted to hold his hand and be the leader of the group! We had AP's - so "missing" a morning of park touring didn't bother us. I thought it was a great experience and my 7 yo got a huge kick out of it and said "I never got to save the day before!".
