Magic Shop on Main Street

What an odd question to ask with no back explanation?

But I looked up why someone would ask this and see there is some history, so maybe there could be. Sorry can't help you. Is that you Steve?

It's not an odd question. It is a known fact that Steve Martin used to work at the Magic Shop many years ago. I do believe there's a photo of him in the shop.

Take a read from this page from the Walt Disney Family Museum:

It is an odd question to pose to people who don't know the backstory, which is what I stated.

I'm sure there are more than a few disney enthusiasts on these forums like you who know, but probably plenty who don't, to which the question lacks explanation to make sense.

Yeah, going with Cats2 on this one. This being a Disney forum and all, lots of people would understand the question without a backstory.

Funny thing is now that it's mentioned, I think I actually heard that too about Steve Martin somewhere but must not have stuck with me well.
But you have to admit it sounds funny if you don't know about it. It's like if I ask out of the blue if there is a picture of John Ritter in the Carnation Cafe for someone who doesn't know why. I'm sure there are gurus here but there are also plenty of first-trippers and casual vacationers reading these forums, or just those who love disneyland but don't know little facts like that.

Steve Martin's autographed photo is hanging on the Magic Shop's wall in this Oct. 2011 video. You can see it right behind the CM!

I found the question odd until I remembered the link between the two... glad to read about this as I have never been aware of the pic, will look for it next time to snap a pic

I have been an active member for quite a few years now and questions are asked on here all the time, that I have no idea to what the are referring to. Rather than commenting and asking for an explanation... I just follow the thread. The explanation will follow.

Yes. I was in the Magic Shop 2 weeks ago, and saw a signed photo of Steve martin.
