Has anyone seen any ill cruisers on the Magic in late Feb. or March??

There was just a thread about this same subject in the last few days, but for the life of me I can't find the darn thing. The short story is: it is still being brought on board by those that are already sick and don't know it. At least, I hope they don't know it. The Norwalk Virus just closed one of our local schools (I'm in Washington State) down for the last two weeks, it re-opens today. It's the worst year for Norwalk since the 1970's but it always peters out in the late spring and summer. Keep your hands washed, it can be airborne, take your echinachea (sp?) for at least a week before your cruise, try to keep your immunity up. You know, the winter basics. Have a great time!!!

There was definitely a virus on board...we saw several people "being sick" and saw a family getting off at Grand Caymen I think it was. We were extremely conscious of washing our hands, and we did not allow our kids to swim, which I have heard is a prime place to cath the virus...again that is just my view. They switched mid week from self serve to crew serving at the buffets and water station. I do not think it was as bad as it has been, but something was there.

And again, it's hard to tell what it (illness) could be from on a cruise ship...someone could also be vomiting due to seasickness or overindulgence in the food! Usually if you have vomiting and diarrhea together, it's a good indication it's a bug....but not always.

We were on the Feb. 8th and no one we met had been sick. We were obsessive about washing our hands and also took Purell with us... each person in our party had a bottle of it and we used it everytime we touched something... None of us got sick! We were served in the buffet line every day and I'm sure that cut down on a lot of sickness as well...
