"MAGIC" Room or Resort Upgrades

Last time we booked Pop century and I forgot to do online check in before we left when we arrived we got an upgrade to Saratoga Springs because the hotel was booked! Actually I would have preffered Pop Century. I hope it doesn't happen again.

We booked a room at the Contemporary for 3 adults and 2 kids (my sister came with us last year), and when we got there, we were named family of the day and upgraded to the hospitality suite with club level access. I am thinking we got that because of being 3 adults and 2 kids and the suite not being booked for our days (we were there Tues-Sat or Sun), but I was very happy and quite disbelieving!
