Magic Plus Wristbands Update

I was wondering if anyone has news on the wristbands.

OR updated on Fastpasss Plus. I noticed on mydisneyexperience there is an option to select dates, but it states I'm not in the time frame to choose any.

I am going to Disney World Nov 8 - 12th.

I would check back in another week or so. Not sure how far out you're supposed to be able to select things, but we are going Oct 16-21 and I was just able to make FP+ selections and customize our bands last night . We're staying at WL and I wasn't expecting to be able to participate but it looks like we're finally included!

A whole bunch of resorts were just added for late October, and we assume that all will continue into November.

Which resort are you booked for? I expect that you will be enabled to customize magicbands soon. Keep watching your MDE account.

They have a lot of reservations to process in the next few weeks, so and many have been seeing it go live for their reservation only 2-3 weeks ahead.

Nice! I think it's running about 6 weeks out from what I have seen. Keep checking back once a week or so until it works. Have a great trip.

We are staying at Kidani Oct 30-Nov 5, and were just able to customize bands and choose fast passes this morning...so 47 days out for us.

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside This will be my first time at this resort. It look very nice online.

Did you have your park passes linked to your account? I don't have my passes yet, however, I do have my resort linked.

So are they sending you your bands and thats how you are able to link it to your MDE? Or does it just open on MDE for you to link your reservation and tickets and you get your bands in the mail later. Seems like 2/3 weeks is cutting it close if they were to get lost in the mail or something. Also how do you pick your colors to customizeyour bands. This is all clear as mud to me!

My parents have not purchased park tickets yet, however I linked their MNSSHP tickets to their account and that gave me the availability to customize their bands as well.

Great! That clears it up a little more. I was wondering what in the work the process was! We are staying at Pop and I didn't know when to look for the bands to become available or if I needed to do something. I guess you just have to keep an eye on MDE!

Our TA sent an email saying we were eligible for testing the magic bands; sent us the website to register. I did everything step by step as instructed, that was on Tuesday; we got the bands today by ups. We're staying at POR Riverside 10/18 - 10/26l

When you log into your MDE it will show a message talking about the bands. Then you have until 30 days before your trip to customize. Everything I've read says that people have gotten the email their bands have shipped, then go home and they are on their porch. Thats exactly how ours worked. I haven't heard anyone say they haven't gotten their bands and if you have bands after that point you just don't get to pick the color and put your name on them.

Does anyone know if this includes those who are staying at the Villas on rented points?

PS: And do you think it makes a difference that we're in Canada? Like, guests are receiving the bands via mail, but would they mail 'em to Canada?

The message is as soon as you log into your MDE. Its just a little pop up on the page. I saw my message August 23 or 24 and we arrive October 15. So ours showed up a good month and half before. Then like stated before, you have until 30 days before your trip to customize, then they send them to you. I don't know for sure about Canada, you might just have to call them and ask them to be sent to your resort. I believe I saw someone else did that who was from the UK

Everyone staying at Jambo House is eligible for the MagicBands. Kidani starts September 30th. Note that no reservation checking in after Oct. 31st at ANY resort is eligible yet.

They are not shipping them out of the U.S. They will instead be sent to your resort.

We are going Oct 19-27th and I just got my bands delivered yesterday and I have been able to add fastpluses for quite a long time (6-7 weeks?). What I think is making the difference is that originally Disney was only inviting random guests to participate, THEN they realized it would be easier to do it by resort, and THEN they added a bunch of resorts relatively last minute, so people have had access for different amounts of time. We are staying at the BCV which is one of the resorts picked originally for October which is why I think we have had access. Also, I lnked my paper tickets really early on too and I think that unlocked some things for me too. Not sure if that helps! Also, it appears that they are overnighting the bands. Both my cousin and I got our bands delivered the same day we got an email saying they were shipped UPS overnight.
