I'm fairly sure that because the parade doesn't really stop as such, there probably isn't a favourite place to stand anymore - is this the case? :rolleyes2

We used to love standing outside of Bella Notte when the Princesses used to stop as we got great interaction with them and Peter Pan & Co :goodvibes.

We stood up in the IASW queue. Nice and shady and a lovely view.

There was a little girl in a princess dress stood right at the start of the parade route and she got so much attention from the characters that Jack and I both agreed that was the spot to stand in when we go with little ones.

I tried the Bella Notte spot at the beginning of the month. I liked it because it was quiet for the longest time. People started camping out on Main Street almost 1.5 hours before parade spot. I agree that due to the non-stops there isn't really bad place. But anything non-Main Street does seem a little less crowded. On our first evening we walked up 10 minutes before and got a spot in second row - even made it to the rope after a family left out of the blue.

I agree, up near IASW/Bella Note area seems to be quietest. I know that I personally didn't know that the parade came from as far back as that up until last year :scared1: I don't know how on earth I didn't know :lmao:

We stood in the IASW queue area too - it kind of makes you level with many of the characters in the parade and we got loads of waves :)

We stood round by bella notte to watch fantilusion last summer and found it was still really quiet even when mainstreet was full of people. I think we may try to watch the parade from there this time. :goodvibes

Thanks for all the replies :). I'm sure in reality the few times we see it we'll end up somewhere different but Bella Notte has always worked well for us. We need to make a swift exit after one of the parade viewings so I think we'll have to do Town Square that night! Might try the Station high up??

Didn't someone post lately that they tried at the Station and where told by CMs to move, only to find others lining up in that spot later?

If you watched at IASW and then walked round to Au Chalet de la Marionette and then through the covered walkway up to the Liberty Arcade you'd beat the parade.

We used this route quite a bit last year as we always seemed to be leaving the park when the parade was on.

I've always been quite surprised about how uncrowded the area between City Hall and the steps to the train station entrance have been any time we've been in that area for the parade. You shouldn't need to stake out your spot here for ages before the parade I wouldn't have thought (although it won't be as quiet as up in Fantasyland).

Often the best places are either right at the start of the parade route or right at the end! They're not moving so quickly so can spare more time to interact and it's a lot less busy than along Main Street!

Enjoy!!! :goodvibes

Agreed! I always take this spot, although we usually sit down on the pavement around half an hour before to make sure no-one stands in front of us ;)

Thank you for all the replies :).

Torsie - it had crossed my mind to use the arcade - think we might try that!

I have a feeling we won't see the parade each night - I don't know what it is about it, but what I've seen on videos and reviews I'm reading, it just doesn't have the magic of OUAD etc :confused3.

Still, it will be nice to see it a few times and have a look at the nice new costumes :cloud9:.

Hi everybody,

In this context I have two more questions to ask:
  • What is the best place to stand IYO in order to see Stars 'n' Cars? (I'm not sure if it makes any difference at all, so please write what you think.)
  • What is the favorite spot for Dreams? (I've read here some recommendations but couldn't really understand where exactly to stand - so please be very informative, as much as you can.)

Thanks!
Have a great day!
Neta
