Magic now sailing with NO passangers!

It must be stange for the cruise to be sailing without ANY passagers on board. Erie...or wild party!!????
I have walked the halls in the wee hours and can imagine being (feeling)alone on the ship. Remember the Star Trek eposiod when the Capt was by himself on the ship???
I know the cabin staff is working hard but the entertainment and wait staff crew are haveing an unexpected break.
I hope the 9/27 passangers will not take it out on them (tips) too badly!

Last night, I received an e-mail from the server we had in August. She told me that they were busy cleaning the ship (inside) from top to bottom. No rest for the weary I guess.

Our server told us that everyone was going to be cleaning, cleaning, cleaning the entire time without passengers. Disney is smart...there's so much you can't do with guests on board!

I really appreciate those people hanging in there for us upcoming cruisers. I remember visiting the Hotel Del Coronado right after 9/11. Everyone was so appreciative of us for "taking a vacation", I believe the same thing is happening with the hurricanes. Any cruiser who cancels because it's not the perfect cruise has no idea what they will be missing.

We sailed just after the 9/11 attack and the crew was VERY happy to have a full ship again (the sailing before us was only half full due to airline/travel problems).
The Islanders were also VERY happy.
Anyone who has ever lived "paycheck to paycheck" can understand that just ONE bad week can mean the differance between feeding the family, or paying the rent, or making the car payment.
There are now thoundsands of people who, though no fault of there own, will be struggleing to make ends meet.

Please everyone, remember this on the next few cruises. I know I am already planning on bumping
up my tips a bit. Just a few bucks to me, but a BIG differance to the CM who depend on tips to make a living.
Since I have a rental house in Panama City beach which just missed being hit by a tornado, and a house in S.C that has misses several storms this year, I feel VERY greatful I am still able to take my family on vacation this Sat (God willing )

the entertainment crew didn't really get a break either. They still put on shows for all cm plus they had to clean the dressing rooms and stuff like that.
