Hi!
I have a choice between Magic Navigator's Verandah (deck 7 ) or Secret (deck 6) for Med cruise ... advice from those of you who have been in one of these? Navigator's appeals to us for the idea of a "protected" area... is it as pretty as the pictures? Cheers!

The "secret" verandahs on deck six do have some protection because of the overhang of the ship's wall. They are not as contained the regular navigator verandahs. I like them though because they have a plexiglass wall instead of the solid metal wall, so it's much easier to see why you're seated.

THANK YOU both! We have the Navigator's for now! Looking forward to the extra protected area ... almost like a room extension yet we get fresh air too!

We have had the navigator's verandah and regular verandah and prefer the navigator's. It is mostly enclosed so you are protected from the elements but still get the fresh air.

Once I convinced DH to try the navigator veranda, we book one when we can. We have one B2B in Europe.

We have stayed in a navigator's verandah on the Magic for a 7 night southern caribbean. It was fine, comparable to a regular verandah, it just had a solid wall under the rail so you couldn't see out when inside the room.
What is a secret verandah though?

There are 4 staterooms on the classics classified as 7As due to the wall of the ship cutting off a corner of the verandah, but they have the plexiglass wall so you can see out when seated.

Go for the secret verandah if you can get it, they're much better than the standard Navigator. On The Magic & Wonder they are rooms:

#7620, #6634 (Port side AFT)

#7120, #6134 (Star-board AFT)
