Is it possible to purchase a 1 night stay at a Disney hotel with tickets but extend the dining plan for 3 days? We will only be staying in a regular Disney hotel for 1 night before moving into the Beach Club Villas and would love to use the dining plan.

When I was getting quotes online earlier today, I was able to book four nights in a WDW resort with a seven day PH pass with expiration. A pop-up opened up asking me if I was sure that I wanted seven park days and only four nights, even though the passes would expire after 14 days. I just said yes( because I was going to book another resort for the next few nights) and it let me do that!! So I think the dining option would be OK also.
I hope that helps! :)

Nope, you can't do it. The dining matches the number of nights. No more, no less.

I just went online to WDW to try it out myself, and I was able to book a three night stay at POP including a 6 day MYY pass including dining, and I had no problem with that!

It can't hurt to try it yourself, and see what you get!

Yes, you can do that, but it will only give you three days of meals.

So, does the dining plan match the number of nights at the resort OR the number of nights on the park tickets??? I am so confused !! We will be at CBR for 6 nights then move to WL for 8 more. We got the 10 day MYW tickets. If we were to get the dining, would it last as long as our park tickets and follow us to WL??? Or would it end when we left CBR ?? Thanks !!

You may want to double check on that. I believe the dining is only for the number of nights you book. You can book tickets for longer. The dining goes with the room, not the tickets. Your resort ID which is used for dining will only show the dates you are booked at Pop Century.

Edit: I found this on disneyworld.com in the FAQ's:

>>>Q. What is included with the Disney Dining Plan?
A. The Disney Dining Plan includes one counter-service meal, one snack, and one table-service meal per person, per night of your stay for everyone in your travel party ages 3+. For example, a party of four that is staying for five nights would receive 20 counter-service meals, 20 snacks, and 20 table-service meals to use during the current trip.<<<<

We were told that the dining plan is only available while you are staying on Disney property. We wanted to stay offsite, but include the dining plan on our passes, but couldn't do it. I'm sure that if you hop from resort to resort, you can have the dining plan for the whole time. Basically, my understanding was that as long as you were staying on Disney property, you could have the dining plan. Does that make sense? I don't know if I'm explaining it well enough!

The dining is attached to the room, NOT the tickets. So if you stay for 6 nights, you can only have 6 nights of dining. No more or less. :earboy2:

TeresaNY - In order to get the dining add on for the whole 14 days you would have to book two packages that includes tickets. So if you want to split your stay between two resorts it would look like this:

6 nights CBR
park tickets (any # of days you want... 4, 5, 6, etc)
6 days of meals

& then another package for:

8 nights WL
park tickets (any # of days you want... 5, 6, 7, 10, etc)
8 days of meals

The reason this won't be a good idea is that it is much cheaper to buy 10 day park tickets than to break it up and buy a 5 day ticket and another 5 day ticket. You would end up spending a lot more.

So to get the best deal you would only buy a package with meals for one of those stays... either CBR or WL.

Hope that helps! :)

:worship: Thank you SO much !! I actually think I get it now !! I would think that WDW would have it worked out a little bit better by now...but I agree with you, it wouldn't be worth it to do for both resorts. Would probably cost more than just paying as we go !! Thank you, and everyone, for explaining this to me !! :sunny:

No problem! Glad to help. :) I didn't understand it myself until I asked Sue Ellen, my Dreams agent, to break it all down and explain it to me step by step. ;) I finally now feel like I get it!! :teeth:

If there is one thing I have learned on these boards, it's that Erika knows her stuff. I think you have stayed at every resort, if I'm not mistaken. I just wanted to say thanks for always helping everyone.

P.S. I like the family picture.

Thank you so much!!!!!! :) I am always glad to help. :wave2:

We haven't hit every resort yet... I think we've tried 17 resorts and have about 7 left. ;)

That picture is from the TV show. It's probably the only one we have of all 4 of us in the park because I'm usually the one behind the camera. :teeth:

Hey Erika!

We were in a Disney mood and watched the Ultimate Fan's Guide last night. Your kids are adorable! :wave2:

Thanks! :) It's amazing how much they've grown just since last spring. One of the producers made a comment to us that it was the "most expensive home movie ever made" because it was shot in HDTV. :) So that's kind of how we look at it... sometimes I forget it was actually on TV. :rotfl: I sure wish I could get my hands on the extra footage. They probably taped us for about 16 hours straight, it would be neat to have it.

Here's a more recent picture of my big guys! :goodvibes

TigerlovesPooh,
Great info on the myw + dining. It's so difficult to understand. We booked the package and are excited to use it.
We'll be there during the same time as you! Look for my lime green ribbon!

I'll have my LGR too! Usually hanging from my fanny pack. ;)

It will be interesting to try this new package. We have always been room only people with aps... but this year we are probably only going twice (THE HORROR) ;) so we thought we'd give this a try. It's kinda nice to have the meals all paid for, I'm usually the type who steers away from high priced items, but HEY, now I'm looking for the most expensive thing on the menu. :smooth: It's lobster and steak for eight nights!!!! :rotfl:

Same here. We never do packages, and I'm always watching our food budget. Not this time! Yippie! DH is going to love it! He has a big appetite!
