Has anyone done the Magic Music Days for their trip with you child performing either in dance, band or choir? Did you book your trip thru Champion Tours in Orlando or book on your own?

Also will anyone be in WDW the week of 6/26 - 07/03?:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

When DS's band performed, we booked on our own. This was 3 years ago. I'm one who always makes it a point to stop and watch any young group performing. Sometimes it makes me teary just thinking of the memories the kids are making for themselves and their families who are there.

 What did your DS perform in Band, Choir or Dance? Must have been great for you and I bet you were so proud.::yes::

Our Dance class is going and they will be plenty hot performing at Tomorrowland stage in July. :sunny:

But we are all in a twitter with excitement.

My DS just got back this morning from his school's trip to WDW/IOA. I believe the school booked the trip on their own, but parents had to pay for their childs portion (obviously). He's in the Concert Chorus and Men's Chorus. Our school got 14 awards(all the bands and Chorus's combined, mostly 1st & 2cnd places).Pretty amazing :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: !!! They drove down from Massachusetts, a looooooongggg bus ride, but he's young,he'll live;) .

Anyone else been to Magic Music Days?

I was in the Magic Music days way back in '95 (had to smile when I saw they were still doing them). I had just finished HS, and we went down with my old marching band and concert band. I think we did the booking ourselves (from what I heard at least). We had a blast though, marched in the afternoon parade at MK at the time and then did a sit down performance at DtD. Some of my fondest memories come from that trip :)

We went in 2000 with DD's dance group. To the best of my knowledge, the dance studio owner booked it through a local travel agency. It was very hot but very memorable.

I have gone three times, twice as a chaperone and once on my own. I planned my own trip when I went as a non-chaperone. One year I helped plan the trip and was a contact for the group in Orlando planning our trip. We did not have any parents make their plans through the group we used. I do not remember this as an option for the parents. We rode on busses both times, a 20 hour trip. We stayed off-site in hotels that were just ok, nothing great. It cost our students about $500 on each trip.

My son's elementary school is going from 5/13 thru 5/17 for the music days. I'm so sad I'm going to miss it!! They are driving from Houston. Leaving school at 6pm thurs and getting to Disney around 2pm fri., performing on Saturday AM and leaving Sunday night.
With chaperones, there are 110 people going! I have my fingers crossed that the weather holds and all goes smoothly...

I'm so nervous! :bounce:

Our kids did Magic Music Days when they were in High school, but we didn't make the trip.
