Magic Morning

My husband is going to DL for Avengers 1/2 Marathon weekend. He was originally going to get a 2 day ticket and then add on a 3rd day if he needed it. However, I see online that if he buys the 3 day ticket in advance he can get one Magic Morning. I am assuming that this is similar to morning extra magic hours and that it is only usable at the park that is open for those on the particular day. Is that correct? If so, can he use it at either Disneyland or California Adventure? The only day he would be able to use this benefit is Friday and I am just wanting to make sure that it is worth it before purchasing.

Also, are you able to add on Park Hopper option to his ticket at any time? Right now he does not have it on the tickets, but if he found that he wanted to change parks one day can he add it on?

Unless he is staying onsite, it will only be usable at Disneyland, and only on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, IIRC. If he is staying onsite, he'll be able to get in early at either park. T/T/S at Disneyland, M/W/F/Sun at DCA.

And yes, he is able to add park hopper at any time, but I'd go ahead and add it. The parks are literally a few dozen steps away from each other.

Thank you. I was wondering about the wording on the Disney site and that confirms it. Since the option for Friday is DCA, it is of no benefit to him because he is not staying onsite.
