How would you spend your ideal Magic Morning hour at either of the parks?? pixiedust:

If I remember correctly, you cannot get FPs during the early hour, correct?

Well to be honest I don't normally make a MM because I can't get up early enough normally. Lol But... If I ever do, which by the way no, one may not get fast passes during magic morning, if Peter Pan is your thing, head to Fantasyland first, enjoy Peter and friends and go from there to Alice, Mr. Toad, the Matterhorn....
Anyway, that's pretty much how I would do it, whatever may be worth. :)

Not sure if you are getting your terms confused but Magic Morning only happens at DL. You might have meant Extra Magic Hour which does happen at both parks.

Correct you cannot get FPs during EMH or MM.

At DL the EMH/MM is ideally spent in Fantasyland.

At DCA the ideal EMH is typically spent at RSR and CL or at TSMM.

The early entry is a great way to get tons of stuff done! Here is how I think you should spend it:

DL: Arrive 50 minutes prior to opening (to be first in line). Make sure that you are right at the front. Then go straight to Peter Pan, followed by Dumbo, then Alice in wonderland, then Mr. Toad's, then Mad Tea Party. If your hour is still not up yet, do pinnochio, snow white, the carousel, and everything else that is open for early entry (I read somewhere that Casey Jr. and the Storybook canal boats are not open for early entry, but it might vary depending on the day). But if you arrive early and there are no ride breakdowns or whatsoever, you should at LEAST get the first five done.

You COULD fit Matterhorn somewhere in there too, but it is more time-consuming than the other dark rides that are super close together and easy to do in quick succession if the lines are non-existent. Also, it has single rider, if you are willing to take advantage of that later on in the day.

And if you have another early entry period at DL (possible by staying at onsite), spend your next one in tomorrowland, since you have already done fantasyland and tomorrowland is the only other land open for early entry. But if you only have one early entry, definitely use it in fantasyland.

DCA: Again, arrive about 50 minutes prior to opening. For DCA, you have two options. You can either spend it in Carsland along with everybody else, or in paradise pier, where it will be practically deserted.

If you elect to go to Carsland, go to Radiator springs racers, then Luigi's, then maters, and if there is time, go on RSR again. Sometimes, RSR will not be open in the morning at all due to extended maintenance, or it might be down for a few minutes at the start of early entry. If this happens, do not waste your time waiting for it to open. Instead, go to Luigi's and get FPs for later (note that the only FPs available during early entry are WOC FPs). Although everyone else will be going to Carsland, the waits are not as bad as other times during the day.

If you spend your early entry elsewhere, go to Soarin' over california first, since it is close to the entrance and stays busy all day. Then head to paradise pier and hop on TSMM, where the wait should be minimal. If the wait is short, go on it twice. Then go to California screamin' (as many times as you want) and then little mermaid if you have time (it does not build up very long lines during the day, but it is usually open during EE so why not?). Next, once general opening rolls along, continue touring paradise pier as lots of those attractions are low capacity and can build up pretty long lines during the day.

And one more thing! Note that DCA extra magic hours is only for onsite hotel guests, so magic morning is only valid for DL.

Don't forget that tomorrowland is usually open during MM and there are NO lines on the big attractions like space and star tours (and astro blasters).

We wanted to spend ours in the Adventure Land and Frontier Land area but they had it roped off.
So where you want to spend it and where they let you may be two different things. :(

In terms of Magic Morning at DL, I would head straight to Peter Pan, if you are one of the first guests in the park that morning. If you're not among the first ones in the park (even if you get to the ticket gates before MM starts, but are back a bit), then I don't know if I would spend the MM waiting for PP. My group got to the line about 15 minutes before MM was slated to start, but the line was already past the monorail beam (about halfway between the monorail and the center of the Esplanade). By the time we got to PP, the line was already 30 minutes long. So in reality, I think it would have been more practical to ride everything else in FL while the lines were short and then just bite the bullet for PP later in the day (when it ranged from 30 to 45 minutes anyway).

We wanted to spend ours in the Adventure Land and Frontier Land area but they had it roped off.

Disneyland's Magic Morning only includes select attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. DCA is more expansive, but DL is very limited.

Frontierland and Adventureland are never open early.

MM is early enough for us, I'd never be able to get my crew there 50 min before open. We go the "bite the bullet" route & wait through the PP line later in the day. MM for us generally includes Alice, Matterhorn, Star Tours and FL dark rides except for PP. This does depend on what time of year you're going. This plan worked for us during the summer, but if you're thinking the few weeks around Christmas - New Years then definitely be there the hour before MM!

Never did Magic Morning, but here's what we do during Early Entry:

We always try to be lined up at the park entrance 30 minutes before EE starts. However, sometimes this is just too hard. When the EE was at 7:00am, we were lucky if we were in line by 6:30am - usually it was closer to 6:50am.

At DL, hit any Fantasyland attractions that are open. Last time, this meant Mr. Toad, Peter Pan, Mad Tea Party, Alice in Wonderland, the Carrousel, and pretty much all the dark rides. Princess Fantasy Faire was not open, neither was Pixie Hollow.

At CA, hit Carsland immediately. RSR should be your first priority, then Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Afterwards the line for TSMM shouldn't be too bad. Once Ariel's Undersea Adventure was open before they were letting people into Paradise Pier.

Wednesday are looking to be most magical mornings of the seven days!!!!! So plan a trip with that morning.

But because it does not have a "T", (though found out today that is not the rule for during the holidays has Christmas Eve EMH) there is no EMH

So on the normal T day, with rope drop, PP is the first choice. The trick to success is that you are already know how the line forms. What happens with PP is that CMs don't use the chain area to start the initial folks arriving. so this creates a long line of stroller parkers that within 5mins extends to the castle gate. So don't get caught up in the mass of folks crowding the right chain area, scoot around the strollers and you can walk into what ever chain event is happening with the CMs. This can be done in 15mins even if you are three deep at a hub rope drop or 10 deep on Main Street.

Once pan and Alice are done, I scoot over to tomorrowland and ride multiple times on stars and buzz, then when FP lights up , i secure FP tickets for teens in the family (by using teen and adult tickets) to ride Space, again!!! and again!!!!! and again!!!

I would not at all prioritize Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. LOVE the ride, but it rarely had a line longer than 10 minutes, even on busier days. On early entry at DCA, go ride RSR, then TSMM, then back to get a FP for RSR (sometimes you can grab this on the way to TSMM, depending.
