Forgive me if this should be in another thread. I searched for something that may answer my questions for an hour and did not find anything.

My wife and I will be attending the Magic Morning on Tuesday May 27th and had a few questions.

Do they hold you at the turnstiles until 8am? Or do they let you past the turn stiles and just rope you off infront of Tomorrowland and Fantasyland?

Also, when the Magic Morning hours end can you wait in front of another area like Adventureland? With there people no Magic Morning guests waiting there also?

We just want to ride some rides during the Magic Morning then around 8:40 walk over to the Castle and takea picture in front of it before it gets crowded. Then wait for the park to open to grab line up for Indiana Jones and want to see the best way of doing that.

There is no always on this. When MM is at 7AM they usually hold guests at the turnstiles. But not always. When it is at 9AM they usually let guests onto Main Street. At 8AM it is hard to say.

Non-MM guests are usually held at the end of Main Street until park opening. I believe Adventureland is open for MM guests to walk to and get in line at the end of MM. Your question is if you will have an advantage over non-MM guests to Adventureland and the answer is yes, if you get moving there before the end of MM.

That should work!

Thank you Hydroguy!

You answered all of my questions even through my typos! Sorry I am at work and trying to type quickly.

I am just a huge detail guy, I need to know all of the details so I can know what to expect.

I am also hoping since Space Mountain closes for refurbishment that day it may be open in the morning so we can ride it once or twice. But we will not be disappointed if that doesn't work out.

I would not expect Space Mountain to open if that is the date they list for the start of the refurb. We were there for a trip when the first day we rode Matterhorn and the next day was listed as the start day for the refurb and the refurb was started on time, in fact, when they were closing up the night before, they put some signs out indicating the ride was closed.

HydroGuy definitely got your answers for you though. MM is always a bit of a mixed bag, I've seen them hold at turnstiles, I've seen them walk a rope up main street a bit early, and then let people go, I've seen them let people in early and hold them just outside the hub (most common).

Once MM has started, you should be able to move easily around the park for the most part, but only the two areas have rides that are open and running.

IMHO it's definitely possible to hit Fantasyland (hard) and then take some pictures and head over to any other land, especially if you are early.

The typical recommendation is to be at the turnstiles 30 minutes before MM starts. That'll usually get you in a reasonable spot. I've had best luck being just a bit earlier than that -- 45 minutes or so -- as that will usually get you on Peter Pan in the first 8-10 people, and if you manage that, you can get all of Fantasyland done easily in 30 minutes, no lines, and from there you can either swing into Tomorrowland for a few rides (good strategy when Star Tours was super popular, ride ST and grab FP for ST the moment you get off at opening time, not necessary any more) or you could head over to Adventureland... we often headed over that way, grabbed FP for IJ, rode IJ, headed to Splash, rode that, possibly do HM and PotC, maybe ride Splash again and grab a Splash FP, ride IJ, you get the idea. It always felt to me that most people didn't get back into the deep part of the park (Splash) until later in the day so if you head in that direction early, assuming it's warm enough, you can get some rides in and not have to deal with the crowds late. (Then again single rider on both Splash and IJ is your friend!)

Enjoy the trip!

Thank you for the information!

I am trying to get as much knowledge as I can as I have a foot condition that worsens with walking so we are trying to not rush ourselves and take our time. But we know the morning time is the best time to get things done so we are trying to get our plans down.

We do not plan on riding Peter Pan in the morning as I have heard of horrible wait times during Magic Mornings. So we plan on riding Star Tours and the Matahorn as many times as needed. Then will take a picture infront of the castle and then get ready for adventureland.

We plan on grabing a fast pass for Indiana then riding it then probably Pirates before grabbing a fast pass for Big Thunder Mountain.

I may also attempt to persuade my wife into riding splash mountain if it isn't that busy in the morning. My wife hates that ride but I love it.

The foot injury certainly seems like something you'd want to plan around, for sure.

Wait times for Peter Pan can be hideously bad. The most reliable time to ride it with a short wait is by arriving early, and going straight there. Now, that said, I've seen the same thing you reference -- we went to one Magic Morning last year that was super insanely crowded, and we tried walking to Peter Pan and by the time we got there, the line had to be 30 minutes already, so we ended up doing essentially the same thing you suggested, we rode Matterhorn a few times, then Space Mountain a few times, then rode Star Tours and then grabbed a fast pass for Star Tours at opening time.

It does happen with some frequency that things slow down in the late evening and I've seen Peter Pan as a walk-on at that time of night (shortly before midnight on a summer evening) so that's another option for you for sure.

My experience with BTMRR is that it's rare that a fast pass is really necessary. They have enough trains that if the crowds pick up, they can increase the throughput. This may be different now with the refurb, but it's very rare that fast passes are necessary for that ride. The lone exception is in the evening after Fantasmic, it often gets long lines then, because of the crowds leaving, same issue with Indy actually.

Have a great trip!

Yeah I have sesamoiditis in my left foot and will bringing a lot of medication for it just in case if it gets out of control.

Do you know if we wait at rope drop for Adventureland grab a fast pass then get in line for the ride if we will have a long wait?
