We have 5 day park hoppers, which I believe means we can visit Disneyland an hour early on ONE day either Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.

Our first day at the park will be Tuesday with a crowd rating of 3, and our last day will be Saturday with a crowd rating of 7. Should we use the extra hour on our last day based on crowd levels or is there something else I should consider? We'll be leaving late in the afternoon on Saturday if that makes a difference.

I like to use it early in the trip when you know you can get up. I'd use it Tuesday and start at DCA on Saturday.

The crowd rating is not near as important as the hours - if operating hour are the same on Tuesday, Thursday or the Saturday you are there then pick the day that best fits your schedule. If however Saturday has the earliest regular opening time, then that MM will likely be your best experience. We used our on a Saturday - so our MM was at 7AM for a regular opening time of 8AM. The lines we saw on the Tuesday and Thursday though where the MM was at 9AM were awful and we were very happy we picked the earlier time.

Now if you think you are going to be too exhausted on that Saturday then that is another thing entirely - my kids were up and at the gates long before park opening every one of our 5 days so we did not get any sleeping in regardless!

Sherilane is absolutely correct. If you can use a 7am MM, you will be skipping from ride to ride with no wait for the first full hour and it will be quite nice the next few hours too.

I agree with Sherilane that EMH/MM seems less busy the earlier it is in the morning, so if you're looking for the best chance of getting the most done, I would aim for the day with the earliest EMH. That being said, with my group, I know that if we waited until the last day of our trip and it was a 7:00 am EMH/MM, there would be no way we'd be able to get up and out in time to make use of EMH/MM. So, for my group, we'd opt to use it on the earliest possible day regardless of when the EMH/MM starts.

Thank you! Tuesday's and Thursday's opening time is 9 a.m., but on Saturday opening is 8 a.m. I think we'll plan on using it Saturday as suggested. It will be a long day for us as we'll be flying back to the east coast and won't actually arrive until Sunday morning, but when we go to DW we are often rope drop to close so I think we'll be able to manage it. We'll just rest up on Sunday!

Ok, thanks for this thread! I've been wondering about this. It's a later opening during the week for us, but I was inclined to go earlier in our stay. But we are early risers regardless... so I think I will opt to do CA on a non-EMH day instead on Thursday, and save our MM for Saturday. Good info!

I have a question. Does the early hours thing work for all days you are staying at a resort hotel. or just 1 time? And if I stay at the hotel AND have a park hopper, does this mean I can do it on all the days? Or is MM just at DL? I'm so confused.

If you stay onsite you are eligible for EMH every day of your stay, including your check in and check out day. So if you were only staying for one night even, you could check in at 6, leave your luggage as your room would most likely not be ready, go off to the parks for the early hour and check back in when your room is ready. Your room key operates as your proof of entry for EMH alongside your park admittance.

There is an early hour at different parks on different days: DCA has Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and DL has Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday!
