Hey,

First post here. Me and my family are heading down to Disneyland in a couple of weeks and I have found lots of useful information on this website. We are newbies to Disneyland but probably haven't been as often as some here. I think we have been 7 or 8 times in the past 5 years.

I just received our information packet for the UPS man today. On our itinerary we have a 'Magic Morning entry into Fantasy Land'. It sounds crazy now but we are really morning people and we have never taken advantage of getting into the park first, this year we plan to.

So I have heard or early entry, is the Magic Morning the same thing? Ours says Fantasy Land, does that mean that only Fantasy Land will be open during that first hour? We absolutely must hit up Nemo when we get in early. We were there last year the week it opened and really looked forward to taking the ride. The lines were just insane so we chose not to brave it. Is Nemo open during the first hour or do we just have the opportunity to be the first to get in line for when it the park opens for regular folks?

From what I have gathered we should try to go on Tuesday or Thursday and arrived at 6:15 if we want to be first. I think I also saw something about heading to line 13, any other tips that I have missed?

Thanks!

I guess I will answer my own question, "Use the search function DUMMY!' ;)

I just found the super thread and I think it answers my questions.

Glad to hear it because I can't even remember which days MM is on!! :)

Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday: All the S's and all the T's, that's how I remember it!!:thumbsup2

Arriving at 6:15 sounds like a great idea! :thumbsup2

But if you get to the gates that early, then you shouldn't need to worry about line 13. :)

Here is a wikimapia map of the entrance gates:

I'm not an expert on this, but I think there's a tree that interferes with line 14. When line 13 extends beyond the tree (the tree that blocks line 14), then line 13 will move faster as it feeds gate 13 and also gate 14.

But if you're there nice and early, then you should be away from the trees. :thumbsup2

ETA: In the post below, Dukland brings up an excellent point! If you arrive at the gates before security opens, be sure to wait at the security table! You will be one of the first guests in line at security, and once you go through security you will be one of the first guests at the gates. Here's what the Magic Morning (Early Entry) Super Thread (by DLR29) says:

When does security open on a MM day?
According to one board member, the security lines have opened at 6:25-6:30 on a day when the park opens at 8AM and MM is at 7AM.

Where should I wait in line?
The best bet to secure your front of the line spot, is to just wait by the security tables, even if the esplanade is open. The guests in the esplanade will be forced to backtrack and go through security when Cast Members show up.

If I get to the turnstiles too early, will I lose my well earned place at the front of the line?
Yes. Prior to the official opening of the security lines, all guests must leave the esplanade to get in line at the security tables. Instead of being at the turnstiles, at the front of the line, you will be behind all of the guests who lined up at the security tables.

HTH :earsboy:

We're not early risers, so we've never had this problem. But, if you get there early enough that there's no one at the security tables, wait there. Don't go on through to the gates, because when the security folks do arrive, they will just make you come back to the security check point, anyway, and you will lose your place.
