Magic Kingdom's Philhar Magic

Another vote for it being worth it - even if you can't see the 3D effects.

Another vote to go!! It's my absolute favorite show at WDW and dh and our 13yo ds love it, too!! :thumbsup2

My DH, DD4 and I all loved this and must have seen it 3 or 4 times on our last trip. My DH is legally blind in one eye and tells me that he really can't see anything out of that eye but he still loved Philharmagic.

Definitely take the time to see it. We have never had to wait very long to see this most amazing show. Usually we see it at least twice during our trips!

It is one of our childrens favorite attractions. I believe we saw it four times on our last trip. It is definitely not to be missed!!!

My 5-year old is blind in one eye so the 3D effects are not going to work for him :guilty: Is it still worth it to take him to it?

I have some minor vision problems which cause the 3D effects to half work for me. The items that only pop off the screen a little work fine its the objects that really come out the ones that people try to reach out and grab that I normally don't see correctly. I still enjoy the shows its a minor annoyance and it does work about half the time. For your 5-year old if he is totally blind in one eye then just make sure he wears the glasses and to him it will look like any regular film. If you want to see how the film looks to your child just close one eye the image will no longer be popping off the screen but it still looks great. Next time I am at the parks I need to ask if they have glasses that have both lens blocking the same light so that you can only see it as a regular film while I would get no 3D effects might be better then when the effect does break down for me.

The 3D effects work by projecting two copies of the film on top of each other the parts that pop out are in slightly different locations on the two films. Each of the lenses on the glasses block one of the images so that each eye sees a different copy of the film and then its up to your brain to put it all back together. Like I said above your child will see one copy of the film it may not be in 3D and you will never see them try to reach out and grab something coming out of the screen but I don't think it will prevent them from enjoying it at all.

This is one of our favorite attractions in Magic Kingdom. Please do not miss this! No matter what age you are you will automagically LOVE this! :thumbsup2

We love it. Last year DH saw it 4 times in a row.
Of course the last time was just to annoy our teen DD :rotfl:

My DS and I did this on our recent trip (spring break) . Ironically it is not busy at all during the Spectromagic parade. We didnt wait in line at all! :thumbsup2 When i did all the planning for our trip I did not include this as an attraction that we "must see" , but after doing it ...............It was one of our favorites!

I have to agree w/ everyone else... It's great, not to be missed. We always catch it several times during a stay. Wouldn't be the same w/out it. :thumbsup2

I thought Philharmonic was great. That said, I would miss it this next trip if it were just me, but one of the children will not have remembered it, and the others will really enjoy it again. My husband (who, by the way, only went for his FIRST time in 2004 and was totally anti-Disney) really loved this show. He thought it was a lot of fun and this was one of his favorite attractions.

One of our absolute must do attractions. My sons belly laugh at Donald and its wonderful to see all the Disney Gang.

We saw it and loved it! Very well worth it and if not for anything else get's you out of the heat for a bit!

Its great to see Donald finally take centre stage, and without giving too much away, if ever Disney opened an apple pie stall outside, they would be laughing all the way to the bank... ;)

It's a terrific show. The 3-D animation is outstanding. Not scary, like It's a Bugs Life and Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

This is my favorite attraction at WDW. I love it. My whole family loves it. From my 3 year old nephew to my 65 year old aunt. It was a family hit.
