Magic Kingdom's Inaccesibility

I actually love the ferry from the TTC to MK. It really builds the anticipation and excitement and is like another attraction to us.

I agree with this. We stay offsite and drive to the TTC. Then get on the ferry. I love the ride over. Just taking all the sites in and seeing the castle get closer. It's just part of the experience.

If you're staying onsite, then you're doing it wrong. Most people on here will tell you that if you want to drive your own car, you'll be okay driving to all the parks EXCEPT MK. Next time you're there, take the Disney bus to MK and you'll see how nice it can be!

THIS.

We stay offsite, and it certainly is a pain.

However, if you're staying onsite, it shouldn't be.

I don't think it's adds that much more time, even if you are driving. If you drive to the other lots, you usually still need to take the tram anyway. I guess you are adding a ferry ride but you have to see it as part of the fun I guess.

I hear your point though, sometimes it's not as magical as one would hope...Especially at the end of the day!

I do think that the large bus depot at the front detracts from the "magic" and was not what Walt intended but I can see why they put them there.

It adds time for us. We pretty much only go to the parks at rope drop and thus never take a tram. I guess it's not such a pain first thing in the morning, but you're right - it's the end of the day when it feels ... less than ideal!

There seems to be several folks saying the monorail never has a long wait, but it does! If the park closes at 9pm, there is often a healthy wait at 9:15pm. On busier nights, there are multiple back up times: post parade, post-fireworks, closing. Guests who always leave earlier (many rope droppers) never see that back up! To avoid long lines- always PLAN to zig when the crowd zags! Go on at least ONE more ride POST fireworks. (No, not Buzz. that's where the throng goes.) The Haunted Mansion and Pirates are gems late at night. You can actually take your time enjoying the queues, and you get to sit, unlike the monorail platform.

But Shhh! Or everyone will do it!
