Magic Kingdom Welcome show?

Does the Magic Kingdom still do a welcome show at rope drop? I remember from our 2011 trip music playing and several characters arriving at main street station to open the park for the day (I know the railroad is closed right now so might be different)

if you're a resort guest and taking advantage of early morning admission, can you go back out to watch the show or is it just better to watch it on a day you aren't planning to get there early? we are planning 2 days for MK so will probably do that but just wondering

The show has not been at the train station in some years. It’s at the castle now.

We miss the old show. It had a classic WDW vibe to it.
I think it also spread out the RD crowd a little better.
Now everyone can enter Main Street up to the castle before rope drop.

As someone mentioned, the show is at the castle. CM hold guests at the entrance of various lands until park opening
