Well, we made the mistake of heading over to the Magic Kingdom today after we spent the majority of the day at EPCOT. HOLY CRAP! There was like a normal crowd in EPCOT all day but the MK was insanely mobbed!! We got there around 7pm and there were hoards of people going in.

I'm sure glad we spent most of the day at EPCOT eating! :)

Im thinking this is very uncharacteristic for this week, and it may spell busy days for the coming season.

OH, don't say that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :earseek:

We spent our morning at MGM on November 19 and crowds were light. But the check-in line at the Polynesian and the wait times to get any breakfast food were crazy on Saturday morning. Also there was a wait to get on the monorail at the Polynesian, something we did not see at any point earlier in the week.

Since Saturday, November 19th kicks off Thanksgiving week (a HUGE travel week) I'm sure many people are heading to WDW to take advantage of the week. It seems natural that MK was mobbed. Most people head there first upon arrival. Next Saturday will probably be even more crowded.

Unfortunately for those of us who try to avoid the crowds, Disney has practically promoted themselves out of slow seasons. It is a fact of life that we will have to cope with in the coming years.

I'll add to that by saying many of us here in SoFlo have suffered damages from hurricane Wilma this year. You'll being seeing a lot of us along with the good folks who got whammied by Jeane and Frances blowing off some steam via a weekend in Orlando.

Think we could all use a long weekend...or three or four...

Actually, this doesn't surprise me too much. I think a lot of schools have incorporated "fall break" with the Thanksgiving vacation. My dd goes to private school...they are out all this week. Both her dance studio, and her cheerleading/gymnastics studios are closed this week as well. It's weird....we have NO activities this week!!!

MK was the only park we DIDN'T go to on the 19th. Started off at AK to pick up some stuff and see lion king show and do dinosaur (hated it) then we left and lots of people were flowing in. Then we went to MGM, LOW crowds there, saw the stunt show easily. Then finished up at Epcot and did some shopping got some fish and chips a left before the rain started. Low crowds there too.

We spent Saturday at the MK, too, and is was as crowded as I've ever seen it. We wouldn't normally go these this week, but we were meeting some friends and that's where they wanted to go.

We'll wait until the week after Thanksgiving before we go back to any of the parks.

We were there in MK on Sat. the 19th too!!

It was our last day and we wanted to end the trip at MK. We had a 10am breakfast at CP but we ended up having to wait for 3 bus's to come at Pop before we could get on one! The bus line was as big as I have ever seen it!! It took well over an hour to get to the park and by the time we did arrive we couldn't do anything before our breakfast as planned since it was already 10am.

MK was just packed all day! We did splash with FP and buzz with FP then the TTA ( there was even a line for that!) saw Cinderellabration, did Hall of Presidents ( always half empty) also did Haunted Man. with about a 25-30 minutes wait ( sign said 20 but it was more) . Then ended our day with the Carasel of Progress ( never seen it before!!) Left the park for the day at 5:30pm for a dinner at WCC.
We were actually NOT sad to be leaving and heading home from this trip since Sat. was so horrible and we knew that it was only going to get packed!!
Earlier in the week a bus driver told us to enjoy ourselves since this was a slow week before Sat. when all the resorts would be completly full and the parks would too!
