We live in Florida just a couple hours from Disney, but haven't been in almost 3yrs - planning for our mini-vacation and was wondering if there is anything we shouldn't miss:
- My son is 6, we have 3 adults and 1 kid going (6yr old, me, my parents)
- Heading over today at lunch time, we plan on hanging out at Downtown Disney, and going to the dino restaurant for dinner.
Anything in particular we should do downtown? My son has lots of food allergies, are there accommodations at the dino place? (if not, we bring food)
-Staying at a hotel near disney, but not a Disney one, we get in early though. Plan on staying at the park all day from open to close and drive home in the evening.
- My son is 43" tall - so he can do everything but Space Mountain, right? How strict are they on that 1"? He has a ton of hair, makes him look 3" taller than he is!
-Best place to eat with a kid with allergies that isn't a sit down? He and I are vegetarian as well.
Is there a strategy for the park? i.e. Legoland you head to the way back first, and that worked GREAT we had no lines even though there was a lot of people there.
How crowded will it be?
We are surprising him with all of this, I'm packing/loading the bags after bed time tonight, for the park I'm making him a little bag with: his autograph book, ear hat, his trading pins, water bottle, and allergy friendly snacks. Anything else?
Where to sit for the parade/fireworks with minimal waiting around time?
Anything else we should know/plan on/not miss/see/do?
