Magic Kingdom Strategy - Go left or right?

NEITHER, Go straight. I would hit what you can in Fantasyland with kids 6 and 8 first, then work your way around left or right. Just my opinion.

Totally agree - with the new expansion, that part will see slightly more crowds I think. Get that one out the way first.

So, we're planning on heading straight in to Fantasyland for our February trip. We have a 5, 4 and 2 yo, so those rides are essential. Wondering, if we grab a PPF FP first thing, how long will it be until return? 60 mins give or take? How many rides during that stretch?

I'm planning on grabbing the FP, heading to Under the Sea, then Dumbo, and maybe Barnstormer before heading back to PPF. We'll grab Winnie FP while there.

Does that sound like a reasonable morning. Maybe toss in a Teacups and Carousel if time allows between those?

If we get that all done by lunch, I'll be happy. Throw in Small World, Raceway and Buzz and we could probably call it a day (we'll have at least 3 at the MK, so no rush to do the other lands that first day).

Thats my initial game plan - of course allowing for potties and breaks and snacks. :)

Not sure I can answer your question, but I wanted to bring it back up since most people responding are answering the OPs question, which was asked back in Feb. If you don't get any responses, you might want to start a separate thread because most readers might not notice your question in this thread.

If you're heading to PPF first thing, why not ride it while you're there? There shouldn't be any line if it's the first ride you get to. Then you can get a FP for Winnie the Pooh on your way to the other rides. If there happens to be a line for PPF, then a FP is useful, and it would probably be for a return 45 min- 1.5 hours later. With the 1 hour window, your plan seems doable, just be mindful of the clock. Sorry I can't be of too much help, but I hope you get more responses!

I agree do Peter Pan while you're there if you get to it first thing. That way you get it in at least once because it gets crazy later!

Thanks for the help.

I guess we were thinking grab the FP at PPF first so we didn't delay getting on the Under the Sea ride, but I suppose its only a 10-15 minute delay.

We always go left. I like ending the day in tomorrowland, I think all the deco lighting is awesome in the evening, and the relative lack of great lighting makes adventureland less fun to look around after dark (although we do like JC in the dark).

We're a left at Crystal Palace to Adventureland for first visit...around to the HM and out to Main Street back to the resort.... Evening return we start in Tomorrowland, again to the Castle and down Main Street.... There's something about Adventureland that excites us, hardly ever crowded when we go there....
