Where is the best place to eat in Magic Kingdom where we can sit inside and eat that is not a table service meal.

We've previously done lots of Table Service but are trying something new in June. Since it will be HOT I would like to have some ideas of where we could eat inside.

Thanks!

Liberty Tree Tavern has a nice sit down meal! We haven't eaten at Tony's but have never heard very good reviews. I think your only other choice is Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle. Good luck!

She wants places that are NOT table service.

I don't particularly understand the question because there aren't really places where you do eat outdoors. Counter Service indoor seating places include Pecos Bill, Columbia Harbor House, Pinocchio's Village Haus, Cosmic Rays, and Main Street Bakery.

Thanks. I've never paid much attention to the counter service places- I was thinking places like Casey's had mostly outdoor seating? If most of the counter service places have indoor seating that's great.

Columbia Harbor House is my preference, but you can also sit indoors at Pecos Bill in Frontierland and Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland and Pinocchio's in Fantasyland. These are very large places.

I think the indoor seating at the Main Street Bakery is kind of limited, the area isn't large. But they do have it.

There actually are some places where you eat outdoors but most of them are now seasonal, like El Pirata y El Perico and Tomorrowland Noodle Station (both have sheltered seating areas though). Casey's seating is outdoors and they have some indoors but I do not know if the indoor seating is air conditioned.

Yes, Casey's has both indoor and outdoor seating.

I second Cosmic Ray's. I love the ribs and chicken combo. Great bang for my buck here. I also love Peco's Bills with the fixins bar. We can make a mean burger here.

Thanks so much for the replies- looks like we'll have several good options. I'm excited to try them!

Columbia Harbour House is our favorite. I always seem to be the one person that votes against Cosmic Rays, I just can't stand their set up. I am not waiting on one line for chicken, one line for burgers and yet another line for whatever and then having to carry everything around desperately seeking a table while 1/2 of them are taken up by people not eating. I find CHH so much more pleasant to order from, eat in, and the food is yummy. I've also never had a problem getting a table there, not even once.

Basically all counter service restaurants are in an air conditioned building at MK

Cosmic Ray's is one of the best CS restaurants because it has something for everyone and plenty of indoor seating. My only gripe with Cosmic Ray's is the three pod ordering structure. You potentially have to order from three different areas to please everyone in your group, like me who has picky kids.

We have tried CHH, Pecos Bill's, and Cosmic Rays. Out of those we prefer CHH and Pecos Bills because of the ordering bays in Cosmic Rays like a PP mentioned (we have a child with food allergies and the way this place is set up is even more challenging for us). Pecos Bills is DH's favorite but we always seem to have a hard time finding open tables here (and we do not travel to WDW in the busier months). I much prefer CHH menu-wise and because of the seating upstairs that never seems to fill up.

Columbia Habour House!:cool1:

I'll 2nd there. Excellent food and atmosphere a few weeks ago. Pinocchios was way too crowded for our taste and the food was average. My husband and I ate at Casey's 12 years ago and it was good as well. Enjoy!

I completely agree. :thumbsup2

Edit: Sorry, thought OP wanted table service...

For counter service, we like Columbia Harbor House and Cosmic Ray's.
