Magic Kingdom Portrait Session

Ours were 2 days after we got married. It was at 4am. So early! Lisa Pena came and did the makeup and Carolyn Allen came and steamed my dress. I really enjoyed doing it. I knew that it was the ONE I really wanted to do. What is a Disney Wedding without the MK Photoshoot because honestly, when are you going to get to do that again.

It is a little odd so keep that in mind being there with all of the workers. I also payed for a flower refresh.

Looks like our date is Dec 17th...that's 15 days after the ceremony. Can you imagine those flowers? :lmao: I think they'll need more than a refresh. But, I'm happy we are doing it. It's not a Disney wedding unless we have the pictures with the castle. :goodvibes
Our time is 6:00 AM so, we will have both dark and some light.

If you follow the link in my signature you can check out my report about our MK shoot pg. 62. We added a second park for $300 more and also had shots at MGM. We were extremely happy with our decision. Although, it is important to request a photographer that you like in advance.

thank you so much for the information. I enjoyed your wedding journal and loved the pictures. I'll have to make the call tomorrow to book it.

Thank you so much for reading and congratulations on the MK shoot! It is definitely worth the early morning. My DH didn't really care either way and once we were there going around taking pictures, he kept saying "this is so cool, I'm so glad that we decided to have these done!"

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do for flowers? I'd appreciate any help.

My MK Portrait Session is the day after my wedding at 5AM. My Wedding is early August. Does anyone know if we will be in total darkness or does it get light in Florida early in August?

I would talk to your floral manager to see if they have any suggestions. I know some girls have made silk bouquets to use. Are you having your flowers preserved? Maybe you could just go with a silk bouquet for your wedding day. If not, experiment with making one yourself. Just some ideas :goodvibes

I checked the Sun and Moon Data for Aug 5th (don't know what day your MK session is...but it won't change by much more than a couple minutes) and the Sunrise is at 6:50. Light will start to show at about 6:20 or so. So, yes, your pictures will be totally dark.

Here's the link I used.

This link will let you put in other days/locations

Ours was at 5am on August 10th of this year and all of your pictures are in the dark. HTH

I went with silk flowers and they looked great and still do so might be worth doing that

Can anyone confirm if the MK shoot is still $1000 and 2nd park add-on $300 more? I'm hoping we can get this booked in the next couple of days, if we can book it a year out...

We're thinking for all that initial expense we might as well do a 2nd park, most likely Epcot, if it's only a small amount more.
Is it any 3 countries you get to choose for this in World Showcase?
We're thinking Morocco, Italy and China possibly...

Yes, those are still the prices, and yes you can request three countries in Epcot.

Thanks Carrie,

I'm excited about doing this now!

I'm also seeing how easy it is to get tempted by all these add-ons and upgrades when you're an Escape bride, but I think we're still saving money this way at the moment, as long as I don't get too carried away!!
