Maybe this is a transportation board question but I'll start here. When you drive to MK you arrive at MK on a big, beautiful Ferry Boat. The ride past the GF is beautiful! When you stay on-site and take a bus you bypass this and mostly that's great and convienient, but if you wanted to be on that Ferry and didn't have a car, is there on-site transportation you could take to the parking lot area and board the Ferry to MK like that just once during the vacation???

Both the ferry boat and monorail run from the Transportation and Ticket center to the Magic Kingdom. If nothing else, you should be able to take the monorail from the MK to the TTC, and then ride the ferry back to the MK to catch your bus.

Ask to sit in the front of the monorail and you'll have a memorable trip in both directions.

That'd be the quickest and easiest. Otherwise you can get a bus from your resort to Downtown Disney, transfer to a Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness bus, and from there take the FW/WL/TTC bus to the TTC where you can catch the ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom...

Why did I even post that? You'd have to be a total nut to take that route...

Have fun.

Here's an even longer route. Take the bus from your resort to MGM Studios. From MGM, take the boat to Epcot, stopping at Swan/Dolphin, Yacht/Beach, and Boardwalk. Walk counter clockwise around the World Showcase from the International Gateway. After passing Mexico, make a right. Wait in line for and ride Test Track. From the TT exit, walk through Mouse Gear out to the Epcot entry plaza. Ride the parking tram out and back. Hop on one foot up the ramp to the Epcot monorail station. Take the monorail to the TTC. Use the TTC restrooms (you did buy a Coke at Refreshment CoolPost on your way around the World Showcase, right? Well that's run it's course by now).... Where were we going???

Ride the bus from your resort to MK in the normal fashion. When you get off the bus, head for the ferry dock and enjoy a round trip on the ferry. You can also ride the monorail any time.

You can't expect them to walk through MouseGears without shopping can you? Certainly that should be on the list. That's why the exit to on TT empties practically into the back of Mousegears, right?

I thought that went without saying (like a mime in the bathroom)...

Actually, Test Track has it's own gift shop. That winding path that eventually makes its way from TT to Mousegear is original to Epcot, and has been there since long before either establisment existed in its present form (all of the paths in Future World lead back to the center of Innoventions Plaza, though.)

Much simpler would be to just be born in MK.
(Come on, Steve, you can't tell me that's never happened!)
Then you can just take the ferry on your way to the hospital!

Why not take a bus from your resort in the morning to Epcot? Then you can visit Epcot if you want. When you finished your visit to Epcot *or if you don't go visit Epcot, take the monorail to the TTC. There you are at the same place where the guests from the parking lot arrive. Have fun!

I am planning to do this also on my next visit, my first visit to stay on site. Of course it is easy te go by bus to the front of the MK, but on my first visit to MK I want to go there by monorail or boat. Just because this will be more magicall.

Marcel.

(Come on, Steve, you can't tell me that's never happened!)

Actually, it did happen. Back in '97 or so, a newborn was found abandoned in a Tomorrowland bathroom. She was taken into custody by FL, who conducted an exhaustive search to find the mother. She was called "Baby Jasmine" by the local media until her mother resurfaced, a woman from the Phillipines (or somewhere in that area, I believe), who claimed her reason for abandoning the girl shortly after giving birth was that she already had 7-or-so children whom she could not afford to take care of.... I don't understand how she could afford a trip to MK (especially while pregnant)... I'm not sure what became of the little girl, but it was a big story for about a week (until the local news lost interest and started sensationalizing something else).
