Magic Kingdom - Park Hours - New Years Day

I have found myself at Disney World a lot of times around NYE. Obviously, it is packed but the atmosphere, entertainment, and fireworks are amazing for that time of year.

Anyway, my question is regarding the hours to Magic Kingdom on New Years Day. Last year, Magic Kingdom opened at 8am and had EMH at 7am. It was awesome because there were few people in the parks and could get a lot of rides done. However, this year MK is scheduled to open at 9am with no EMH.
My question is, do any of you know if there is a potential for MK to extend their hours in the morning for New Years Day?

Yes, there's a very real potential they'll extend the park hours. It's almost certain they will match last year, but they may not announce it until a week prior. I've seen them extend some hours the day before.
