Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom on Thanksgiving Day?

My gut says to go with the Animal Kingdom. Any other thoughts would be welcome. Just plan to visit either park in the morning.

I would go with your gut. A few years ago when we were ther Thanksgiving week, the Friday after Thanksgiving we did Epcot in the morning and then went to Animal Kingdom. Since the parks are larger, the crowds didn't seem too bad.

They will both be extremly crowded.

So choose the park you want to be at, you can;t avoid the crowds. I would choose MK over AK. There are more things to do / more things to swallow the crowd.

We are going to AK and avoiding Mk at all costs.

Go with AK.

We will be going to MK for EMH, staying for a few hours then going to DTD or resort hopping to see all of the holiday decor.

Ah, I just noticed that MK is the AM EMH park that day. This all may depend on whether I can get the kids out of bed early!
